My wife and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at Porto Pacuiba. The staff people were friendly, the restaurant was good, and the facility was quaint.
We also enjoyed the hikes to the rock slide at Trilha Do Bonete (in the south of the island), the 3 pools at Cachoeira Dos Tres Tombos (in the center of the island), and the beautiful beach at Jabaquara (in the north of the island).
Ihabela was the first stop on our 1-week Sao Paulo to Rio Brazilian-beach road trip. Our 3 subsequent stay overs were at Paraty (at Pousada Da Marquesa), Ilha Grande (at Pousada Naturalia), and Ipanema (at Arpoador Hotel). I highly recommend this road trip itinerary. We flew into Sao Palo and flew out of Rio. These 4 destinations are listed as country-wide highlights in the Lonely Planet Brazil book.
