“Feel at home to rest on the island”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Strong point : the couple Gwan and Adriana (see photo ) will let you give VIP treatment . Super hospitable and polite .
If you are going to rest and enjoy nature and the birds of the island this is the place . It is 900 meters from Praia do Veloso (beach) and 1,500 m from the beach in the south of Curral Ilhabela (better beach . Internet is slow indeed across the south of the island . Clean room and good bed to rest .

The breakfast in the morning has fresh fruit juices and the " bauru " delicious prepared by the collaborators Sonia and Simone ( sisters ) that is close to the pool. The birds: hummingbirds , parakeets , parrots , curuíras , Hoist Blood (Iça Sangue) are doing flights around and do the honors . You are in Ilhabela / SP one tropical paradise so bring repellent when you're in the woods and out of your room . Gwan a friendly and hospitable Indonesian who came to Brazil when adolescence is sticking and always provides insect repellent . Help if you 're already two weeks before taking B complex . Essential if you take walks in the mountains or at the State Park .... has very cool places to know for many days... Daily Double is US $ 91.00 in average.

This Pousada Vila São Pedro is located on the main avenue of Ilhabela , 10 km from the ferry pier ( US $ 7.5 to access the island and US $ 3,5 environmental fee in return ) , and 16 km from the historic center (nice) , which is located in the north of the island . Staying four days there was little. We plan to return.

Room Tip: he front rooms have beautiful view but the background are quieter

Vila Sao Pedro was heaven on earth! My girlfriend and I loved everything about our stay here. The owners and staff were warm, welcoming and completely accommodating. The location is quiet and very private. Nestled among the rain forest of the island there were always the sights and sounds of birds and other forest creatures. Breakfast was delightful and delicious. Fresh breads, fruits, juices and breakfast sandwiches.
The rooms are comfortable and very romantic. Enjoying the Ofuro was one of the many highlights of our trip.
The owners are polite and very helpful offering tips on restaurants, beaches and any other activities the island has to offer.
Loved our stay!!!!!!

We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The owner welcomed us with tips where to go / eat / things to do. It's 2 minutes away from 'praia do curral' (One of the best beaches in the island) but a bit far from the city center (where you can find restaurants, nightlife, .. ) ~ 50 minutes driving round-trip.
The location is surrounded by trees and lovely birds singing all the morning. The owner's attention was really impressive always asking us if we needed anything, lending us beach chairs, even allowing us to stay a bit longer.

If you are looking for a nice place to relax...no need to look further.

Room Tip: The room downstairs (room # 1 ) is a bit noisy

We went here for my Birthday and had a great time here - owners speak English and were incredibly helpful. The rooms were large and well appointed. Pool nice and worth a swim. Location is a far way from the ferry but the crazy buses will get you there otherwise plenty of off street parking. Its not right on the beach but its just across the road from the water and the nearest beach is a 5 minute walk. The best part of this stay for me was the Breakfast. Not a buffet either! Fresh fruit, fresh juice, fresh pastries and bread, fresh coffee, and straight out of the toaster - ham, cheese and tomato. Mouth is watering just thinking about it. You can get this by the pool, in your room or be boring and have it in the dining area.

When we first booked this place I couldn't believe how many excellent ratings there were and no even averages - I know why. This place IS excellent!

We stayed at Vila São Pedro for two nights. We received a warm welcome, were given a good run-down of things we might want to do on the island and allocated a lovely room. The property has sufficient off-street parking and although it's not on the beach it was good to cool off in the pool. We have been travelling in South America for 3 months, staying in accommodation ranging from budget to mid-range. This is THE BEST breakfast we have had so far (no crap coffee, stale bread and jam in sight). Breakfast is served as you like in the restaurant area, by the pool or in your room from 8-11am! I am not a morning person and often miss breakfast hours in other places, but definitely not here. Breakfast consisted of good coffee / hot chocolate and fresh juice. The bread basket was filled with warm - cheese rolls, white rolls, whole grain rolls, quiche and cake. The fruit - half a papaya, a slice of mango and grape was delicious. The ham, cheese, tomato and herb toasted roll was completely filling. We didn't have room for eggs - however you'd like them. It's a shame wifi was working that well. I would definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I had a perfect 3 days stay at Vila São Pedro, located in the southern part of Ilhabela, near the famous Curral and Feiticeira beach. Gwan's attention to every guest and detail is really impressive, always smiling and making us feel at home, sharing all his knowledge about the island and the best places to go, lending us handfull items like mosquito repelents, beach chairs, DVDs to watch at night and even a portable "cooler" that we used for our water.
Location is a difficult topic to rate, since this can change according to each travelers' interests and conditions. In Ilhabela it is really important to have or rent a car, since the beaches and the Island "vila" are connected by one main road that has aprox. 20 km from south to north. Vila São Pedro's highlight is that you will be at only 5 min drive to Curral, Julião and Feiticeira beach. The Vila (in the north) will be at least some 15-20 min drive, but there are some excelent restaurants like "Nova Iorque" (sea food) in the south if you are looking for something closer and away from the crowds.
The room was very cozy and actually looks better than the pics we saw at the website!
We are looking forward to visiting Ilhabela again and staying at Pousada Vila São Pedro again.
Thank you Gwan for the wonderful stay!

I stayed at Pousada Vila Sao Pedro 6 days with my husband and another couple, in April 2012. Everything was awesome. The staff was very friendly and they gave us a lot of helpful tips about the island. They even booked for us a boat trip to the other side of the island. Breakfast was great, everything was tasty and fresh. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and from my balcony I could see a great variety of tropical birds. Although it was a little far from the Village (the island center), we were close to one of the best beaches of Ilhabela, Praia do Curral. We really enjoyed our stay at the Pousada and recommend it 100%.
