“Erin is Great!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

We frequent a place Erin use to work, so we came here to see her, we have been before and enjoyed, but with the addition of Erin you can't lose! She is just an all around great bartender/server! She never misses a beat and knows to look at the big picture around her! She makes it look easy!

“Hauntingly tasty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

In a very old building across from state pier. The service was exceptional from the beginning. Denise helped pick a trio of tapas and her advise was spot on. Good portions at very reasonable price. The chef's choice of flavor were excellent.

“Three Visits inTwo Days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

Just around the corner from the Whaling Museum. The title says it all. We kept going back during our two day stay in New Bedford. Not our usual modus of exploring local cuisines. We sat at the bar for wine and tapas. Bartenders were friendly w excellent service. The tapas were amazing. We sampled a variety over our three visits but I really went for New Bedford seafood and ordered the scallop plate and lobster plate which my husband and I shared on the first visit. Absolutely fresh off the boats, excellent preparation, plated artistically, and priced reasonably. Other visits we ordered the cod w the awesome "vegetable of the day" , mixed grill, and some salad plates. All excellent but the scallops were the best we have ever had anywhere. I actually returned to order the lobster plate to-go for my 96 year old aunt who thought it was great! Have recommended to my family and we will definitely return on our next visit to New Bedford.

“Good food, great atmosphere, friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

There were two years between visits and Cork was great both times. A tapas is a unique style of dining for the area. The plates are generous and everything is good. We started out with the special of the day flatbread which was good because it was cheesy and thick, not the most flavor but still a good start. We then had mussels which were wonderful and then Philly cheese steak spring rolls which were good with their spicy mayonnaise.

Both times we sat at the bar and the bartenders and staff are all friendly and attentive. They have a nice wine list and offer wine flights which you don't see in bars too often around here. My favorite is the caiparinha. They use the real deal, cachaca, not rum like most places, and they're great!

There is outside dining if the weather is right and it's a neat spot right on the water front.

We have gone to "Corks" three times Each time we go we try something different The empanadas are delicious and they change every time we visit. The orange and beet salad is a very unique taste, a must try. The scallops whether the meal or appetizer no risotto is fantastic scallops done perfect and tasty risotto. The cod fish is excellent. I can't wait to go back and try something new
