“bad service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

So I went to spicy lime to eat with family, food was average but service was horrible. When our bill arrived we paid it and left a tip on the table (average tip fifteen percent) and when we were on our way out the door we were confronted by a big guy, he was the cook, he started raising his voice "what was there a problem with the food". We looked surprised because we didnt understand why he was asking us this, so continues to say " I see you did not leave a tip", and let me tell you he was very aggresive, at almost the same time the waitress came outside stating that there was a tip but she didnt see it at first and it was her mistake. Well he just said "oh sorry". Well I have never been back, honestly I do not wanna eat at a place with big giant bullies...anyways even if I hadnt left a tip, that gives the right to come outside in a agrresive manner...NO..shame. I only gave it two stars because the food was average.

“Good Thai food, small restaurant, no charm, no ambiance, just food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2011

Have been to the Spicy Lime several times over the past few years and while the food has been good, it's not a restaurant I would bring a family to. There is on-street parking and the restaurant is located in downtown New Bedford across from the Probate Court, so the parking is also very limited. The New Bedford area now has a few Thai restaurants that have both great food and relaxing Thai-type atmosphere that I find to be a better experience.

“worth the trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2011 via mobile

Funny little restaurant with limited atmosphere, but if you want good, fresh Thai food with NO MSG, the Spicy Lime is for you. The owners will happily guide you through the menu; they have never disappointed! They sell beer and wine now, too.

“A total hole in the wall serving near fine dining Thai Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2011

Don't let the exterior turn you off. The Spicy Lime is truly an outstanding experience, food-wise. Ok, the ambience leaves much to be desired, and the food might seem a bit pricey for Thai food, but try it. The food is freshly prepared, ALWAYS, and consistently excellent and overall, very healthful compared with the processed food you'll see elsewhere.

“Best Soup Ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2011

The coconut based soups are stupendous. Rolled shrimp with minced chicken in sweet and sour sauce was an outrageously fine dish. Every table is filled with happy customers with glowing comments about the food. The dishes are all made from scratch and worth the short wait. This is a very humble spot, but it's all about the food. Highly recommended!
