“For a small Zoo, very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

This tiny zoo offers mostly common North American Animals, it is easy to move around and hard to miss stuff. Short and sweet, with a fun train ride for the kiddies. Want to say the only non-north american animals are the Elephants and they used to have a leopard. Mostly animals you can find commonly in the USA.

“Still a lovely place to take a stroll”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Those of us who grew up in New Bedford remember the park as a place our parents took us on a Sunday afternoon to sit by the pond or walk through the gardens at the Greenhouse or play on the swings.
With the adiition of the zoo and the senior center, the park attracts visitors young and old. A great place to sit and just enjoy the trees and the pond or walk the perimeter for your daily excercise.

“Nice Zoo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Cute zoo for all ages. Has a train ride, pony rides, and a carousel, for the little ones. Not huge, but worth a stop. Has food available & a gift shop.

“It's good, but needs improvements.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

It's nice for the younger approach, but their a lot of holes that needs to be filled. (not literally, its a metaphor.) They could add more exhibits, they only have the basic zoo animals. They hold good events, but you get tired of them after a while. If you have kids, take them. Or you can just walk around the park, which is also nice.

“Good place to bring the kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

For a small city zoo there's plenty to entertain the kids. A good variety of animals and not so big that you'll get tired of walking.
