Stayed here on points last month for 7 nights, check in was very smooth. I read about the $25 resort fee and inquired about that - It's not mandatory, they said it was an option... you receive a couple of drinks, bottle of water, discounts to the spa, and daily parking. Or you can just pay the $15 nightly parking fee. We opted to just pay the daily parking fee... yet in the end we were never charged for parking which was a bonus. Had a nice gardenview room on the 4th floor which was very quite. The hotel setting is just beautiful. Very close to the shops at Wailea...went to the ABC store and purchased breakfast foods which we enjoyed on our balcony most mornings. Had lunch a couple of times at the poolside resturant and the food was very good.
Yes, parking can be an issue in the covered garage - looked like everyone wanted to park under cover. We parked on the upper deck and never had a problem.
The adult pool is nice - nothing special - We didn't really spend that much time at the resort. But it looked like you would need to get there early if you want a pool side lounge
chair or you could pay for the cabana, since that was the only shade you would find at that pool.
The exersice room room was very nice and never really crowded. Hubby played golf on the Emerald Course and Old Blue Course. Said he preferred the Old Blue Course.
Would have went to the Spa but they wanted me to sign a wavier for my 16 year old daughter to have a facial, plus I would have had to sit in the room with her while she was having her facial. That sounded pretty ridiculous to me so we went to the spa next door at the Grand Wailea - What a bunch of hipe! I did not find that spa to be very relaxing at all. While getting my massage I heard the kids below jumping and playing in the pool - If that's what I wanted to hear I would have asked for a beach massage.
Had dinner one night at Matteo's - 2 pizzas, antipasta, bottle of wine and dessert with tip was under $90.
Had dinner at Mama's Fish House and Lahania Grill - both were nery nice.
Also went to the Old Lahania Luau which was fun.
Excursions we did were:
Trilogy - Discover Lanai Sunset Sail - a great time!!
Haleakala Bike Company - Awesome! Tim was our tour guide, very entertaining.
Kai Kanani - Discover Molokini & Turtle Town - Better to go first thing in the morning.
Road to Hana - We went all the way around, was a fun & thrilling day to say the least.
