My husband and I and our two teenage children ended our vacation in Hawaii at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. We Spent the first part of our trip cruising the islands on a cruise ship. We spent five glorious days in Wailea. The resort is by far the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in ( and we have stayed in many beautiful places)- The Marriott properties never let us down. It was meticulously maintained. The views were amazing, the pools were spectacular. We only ate at the poolside bar, the food was ok, but just a bit pricey. The drinks were also a bit pricey and we were disappointed that we could not bring our own to the pool with us. I don't mean to sound cheap but I don't like spending $13- $15 on a drink and then have to wait for the waitress to bring it back and then tip her on top of that...
We did the Luau at the resort and it was very fun, also very expensive but worth it!
There is a restaurant at the the top of the hill going into the resort called the Monkey Pod- Great
The beach is a short walk from the resort, small but nice.
Make sure to get up early one morning and go to the top of Haleakala to see the sunrise , It is AMAZING!!
All in all, just a wonderful time in paradise!
