“This is PARADISE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2010

My family stayed at the Four Seasons for 5 days in July of 2010. We had high expectations after spending the previous 6 days at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. The Four Seasons was by far the BEST hotel experience we've ever had. For example, at the Grand Hyatt they ask you for your name and room number at the breakfast buffet and poolside bars. At the Four Seasons they know your name and room number!!

We arrived at 10:00 a.m. We were given the key to a lush complimentary room to change for the beach and pool. When spent a wonderful day at the pool in a cabana at no charge. Free ice water, sun screen, magazines, Kindle, fruit on a stick, frozen treats, etc... The pool attendants were always there for your every want and need. The front desk called us on our cell phone to let us know our room was ready at 2:00 p.m.

There were treats for the kids, a bottle of wine for us, bottled water, ice service, and stuffed animals for the kids. We had a partial ocean view room. It was GRAND! The bathroom was spacious, the deck comfortable, the beds were extremely comfortable.

The nightly turn-down service was something to look forward to each and every night. Everyone knew us by name! Everyone went out of their way to please you. The valet guys were fun, helpful, and kind. They had printed directions laying our car each time we left. They even had a bag of jelly beans for us on the way to the airport.

The food was excellent, whether you were poolside, at the breakfast buffet or even at the bar for the nightly Hawaiian music and dancing. I miss the smoothie flavor of the day!

The hotel sits on a beautiful piece of property. The ocean was like a lake in the morning. We snorkeled with turtles each morning straight out from the beach. The snorkel equipment was complimentary as well! Then at about 1:00 p.m. the trade winds came up and the ocean turned into a body surfers dream. With our twin 10 year olds, it was the best of both worlds. Snorkeling and body surfing footsteps away from the pool. We also checked out the snorkel equipment and drove to Turtle Town twice while we were there. Turtle Town is 5 minutes away by car.

We loved Wailea! The hotel was so wonderful that we hated to leave the property. We went to Iao Needle and Lahania one day. We were going to do the road to Hana, but couldn't justify leaving paradise to spend 8 hours in the car. The next time we'll do Hana! This was our first time to Maui. We fell in love on day 1! The Four Seasons is perfect for couples young and old as well as families! We loved the FREE game room. We spent a few evenings playing ping pong, Wii, Playstation, etc... after going out to eat in Wailea.

We can't wait to go back to the Four Seasons! We were really torn between the Four Seasons and the Grand Wailea for our family. We walked over to the Grand Wailea and were SO glad we didn't stay there. Huge resort feel. Didn't look clean, smelled in different areas, not at all the paradise of the Four Seasons.

We went to the Four Seasons for our 20th anniversary. My husband and I already decided we will be back as soon as possible. Don't miss this experience!!
We love you Four Seasons!

I could go on and on about this property but I'm just going to say it is simply perfection! Luxury, pampering, but it really is a great value for your money because if all the complimentary services that others charge for. The staff refers to you by name and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is exactly what you want and a memorable experience. It is a large hotel but as a private, intimate, personalized feel. The poolside services are not to be missed. We walked in the door to a lei greeting and let out a sigh and never stressed a moment of our stay. This will be the benchmark we measure all future hotels against.

Our stay at the Wailea Four Seasons was utter perfection. The entire staff had the Aloha spirit we mainlanders were hoping to find.

first time at a four seasons resort and i am very impressed. i am usually very demanding in regards to service but i honestly cannot complain about a darn thing. the hotel the location the staff were all top notch. its a bit pricey but they dont nickel and dime you to death like other resort hotels. as long as i can afford it i am only staying here from now on. those that stay in kannappali are missing out the best part of maui and that is their loss....the only negative is that spago restaurant is severly over priced and over hyped....stick to ferrarros....

Just got back from 12 days at The Four Seasons in Maui. We were originally supposed to stay next door at Fairmont Kea Lani, but had to cancel when we found out they were renovating 2 out of 3 pools during out stay and I'm glad we did, because we stopped by there and it was very noisy.
Four Seasons was our second choice. We booked through WhataHotel and I am so glad we did. The service was excellent! I especially loved the the 21 and over serenity pool which we were able to sit at most days. It made you feel like you were at a resort much smaller than we were.
Lots of amenities- little snacks during the day poolside, free internet in the game room and business center, free kindle rental at the concierge, free snorkel and fins 1 hour per day, free outrigger canoe trip. Only thing I didnt like was the $20 a day mandatory valet parking- would have like the option to park the car ourselves and come and go without having to wait.
I highly recommend booking thru the WhataHotel web site. Thru them we got free breakfast for 2 everyday (breakfast is $83 a day otherwise), 1 free lunch and an upgrade on our room. They knew it was our honeymoon and we also got a free bottle of champagne in our room and a tray of delicious desserts delivered on the last day.
This saved us alot of money. Four Seasons was a treat for us since it was our honeymoon, bu the added perks really helped us out.
We did stop at Walmart near the airport to pick up water, beer, soda and the hotel gave us an extra fridge for our room to keep it cold!

LOVED LOVED LOVED it. We travel all the time, I am a part time travel editor so one of my perks is getting to go all over the place. We extended a "working vacation" on Oahu and went over to Maui for 5 blissful nights. The FS is fabulous, pristie, perfect, wtih perfectly matched impeccable service. You are made to feel like royalty and it has a soothing and relaxed but super elegant atmosphere. We will most certainly go back. Pool, beach areas all fabulous as were the restaurants. The weather was splendid and overall I would have to say this is my favorite Four Seasons yet.
