“Amazing desserts, very poor service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We only had the experience of desserts, not a meal, so I can't comment on the dinner. Atmosphere is great, with nice furniture and style. Piña colada cake is unreal! Too bad our waiter was so poor. Having been a waitress, you just DON'T: rush people, ask people if they've put money in the billfold, act annoyed that they didn't order enough, NOT box up their food when asked, forget to refill coffee etc etc. I tried three times to talk to him when he came to our table, but he'd put something down and run away! Unreal. Not to mention no smile at all. I like the place, so this wouldn't stop me from returning, since I'm big on ambiance and this place is good for that.

Exceptional food and surroundings and service. Try the coco shrimp and the saba steak salad. Great presentation.

“Average experience at Tommy Bahama's”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

I was disappointed with the food and ambiance at Tommy Bahama's in Wailea. We love the Destin based restaurant, and were hopeful that it would be similar. The menu was more limited, and the food was only average. Service was fine, but for the money, I'd go elsewhere.

“Perfect Happy Hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

We loved the happy hour(s) we spent here. The fish tacos are very good, best I've had in Wailea. The macadamia goat cheese is really good and rich. The sliders were tasty as well. The coconut cloud martini was very popular at our table of 11. Watch out for those things, they turn the ladies (and some men) into drunk shoppers and at the Wailea shops that can be costly! The server we had was fantastic. Very personable and funny. Can't wait to come back next year. The prices are pretty high for any time other than happy hour however. That prevented our large group from coming back at any other time of day.

“A real treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Go there for lunch. Great drinks like mango martinis, etc. wonderful food. Great seafood selections for sandwiches. Warm bread with cinnamon butter to start the meal. It is not cheap, but worth it.
