My wife and I are what most people would consider "foodies". We eat at a reasonable number of high end establishments like Joel Rebuchons in Vegas, Kaika in Tokyo, Gordon Ramseys place in Dubai, etc. We are used to a high standard of food when we when.
Ferraro's was fantastic. Maybe not mind boggling like the places above, but wow when it comes to eating in that price range. I had the Ferraro's Insalad, and the Lobster Linguine, and my wife had the Veal Cheek pasta. We were both completely blown away and say without reservation, that we would return again. The salad was crispy, the blue cheese was creamy and not too strong and it was seasoned to perfection. My lobster was very very good, the pasta sauce was nicely textured, flavoursome but not too rich, and there was enough lobster to make you feel it wasn't a token mention on the menu.
My wife's veal cheek was unbelievably soft, the sauce nicely mixed and the overall dish was strong and rich without being overpowering. Our waiter was knowledgable and friendly.
Service started off as fairly average unfortunately with multiple people coming to take partial drink orders and mixing them up, meaning me as a teetotaler was given the alcoholic version of the mocktail I ordered. When it was corrected my wife's fruit punch was the best she said she had had in a long time, and mine was fantastic as well.
Our service difficulties were compounded by heavy rain, and I think the waiters spent a lot of time ensuring everyone was inside and those outside were covered. I don't think on a dry night the problems would have arisen at all. We also have eaten at Spago's (good), Tommy Bahama's (ok not fantastic), The Bistro at Grand Wailea (Amazing Icecream Sundae and below average nacho's/taco's dish with very casual wait staff).
We will be going to Duo and Momma's before we leave.
