Description: Located above the Wailea Tennis Center, Joes has panoramic ocean views on one side and vistas of Haleakala on the other. Internationally acclaimed Chef Bev Gannon masterminds the menu, while husband Joe Gannon is credited with the theatrical lighting and inspiration of this popular dining spot. Wonderful comfort food, with a gourmet streak such as slow roasted prime rib, with mashed potatoes, our BBQ ribs, and Joes favorite meatloaf. Fresh local fish is also offered nightly including appetizers such as the ahi carpaccio and calamari. Don't forget about the "World famous crab dip"! The Seafood Pot Pie with fresh fish, shrimp and scallops is another favorite. Children are welcome, offering a fun kids menu and special drinks like the green gecko. One of Wailea's best Mai Tai's, crazy martinis, and and exceptional wine list from well known producers as well as smaller boutique wineries.

“Great "early diner" specials!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013 via mobile

We found this restaurant looking for "deals" for dining in the pricy Wailea area on the internet and were very pleased with the food, service and proximity to our hotel of this local favorite. The "2 for 1" entree special offered from 5:30 to 6:30 nightly is quite a bargain, and the choices are not limited. The bottles of wine on the list are varied and price reasonably for what you get. I loved the traditional wedge salad with creamy blue cheese dressing, crispy bacon and fresh tomato, as well as the thick cut of perfectly roasted prime rib with whipped mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Also, if you like to dine later in the evening...all through the month of October you can get the "famous" Bev Gannon Barbequed Ribs offered as "all you can eat" for $18, but the portion is so large, our waiter told us few people ask for more. Desserts are very good as well, with my favorite being the warm chocolate bread pudding, or the creme brûlée with carmelized bananas is another house favorite.

“Oy Vay! What a deal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

A restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere, wonderful food and prices that can't be beat! Between 5:30PM and 6;30PM, it's 2 for 1. We had Prime Rib that was cooked perfectly, mouth watering and thick! We also had a bottle a wine that they basically sell at a little over their cost. This place is a great find, friendly staff and good down-home food. Our server, Suquey (pronounced Suki) is very knowledgeable on wines, herbs and food in general. Another Bev Gannon gem! This is definitely a family friendly restaurant!

“Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Purchased a book called "Maui Revealed", which lists and rates restaurants in the Maui area. Joe's was not even mentioned. We ate there on our last 3 trips to maui, and always got the 2 for 1 deals. Last visit we ate there twice, and it was outstanding, Also, the ladies in our party said thry had the best Mai-Tais around. Can't figure why it was omitted from the book.

“Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We saw this restaurant in the Dining in Maui magazine and decided to give it a try. Our reservation was for 7:30 pm. The place was a little hard to find in the dark. But once we got there, everything was great. Staffs were friendly and the food was awesome. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and the price was very reasonable.

“Not as good anymore”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

So, we have gone every year for some years to Joe's. The staff are very professional, the GM is ver personable and she has a lot of knowledge about wine. But the wine list has been a little dumbed down the past couple year, which is a shame, because it was the main reason I went. It has nice western light and large sliding windows for this wanting fresh air and an outside feel, though the dining room itself is inside. The cocktails are competently made and the food is decent, though stay away from the spaghetti, which has a watery-ketchupey sauce. The portions are huge here, so beware. I am a big person, at 6'5" and 210 lbs and I eat big. I can't eat three full courses here. Great for sharing, great for energy, great for cocktails. The food is more homey than elegant, but mostly good concepts.
