Description: Located above the Wailea Tennis Center, Joes has panoramic ocean views on one side and vistas of Haleakala on the other. Internationally acclaimed Chef Bev Gannon masterminds the menu, while husband Joe Gannon is credited with the theatrical lighting and inspiration of this popular dining spot. Wonderful comfort food, with a gourmet streak such as slow roasted prime rib, with mashed potatoes, our BBQ ribs, and Joes favorite meatloaf. Fresh local fish is also offered nightly including appetizers such as the ahi carpaccio and calamari. Don't forget about the "World famous crab dip"! The Seafood Pot Pie with fresh fish, shrimp and scallops is another favorite. Children are welcome, offering a fun kids menu and special drinks like the green gecko. One of Wailea's best Mai Tai's, crazy martinis, and and exceptional wine list from well known producers as well as smaller boutique wineries.

“Good food,”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Joe's is a place to go for a good, satisfying meal in the upscale resort area of Wailea. If you dine between 5:30 and 6:30 you can buy a meal and get the second one free. It overlooks the tennis courts, but does offer nice views of the ocean and while it isn't the best views of the setting sun you will find on Maui, it is a serviceable view. It is a little too loud and tables a bit too close together to qualify for romantic, but it does offer a welcome change to what you get at the various resorts just down the hill. Go for the food and seek ambiance and romance elsewhere. A nice evening out at reasonable prices for this end of Maui. Due to the proximity of tables, we had some enjoyable conversations with other diners on either side of us.

“Only highlight was the golf cart ride”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

We had high hopes for this restaurant after eating at the Hali'imaile General Store in Makawao twice!!!! We arrived around 7pm on Monday night. They seated us at a table in the rear of the room which had no light. My parents who are 70+ couldn't read the menu because it was so dark and I had to pull out my cellphone to light the menu to read it. We decided to order 3 appetizers and I ordered a soda which apparently made our ponytailed waiter mad. That was the only time I saw the waiter. Our water glasses were only refilled after flagging someone down. The food was disappointing! The waiter never came to check on us, ask if we wanted to order dessert or anything else!!!! I finally flagged him down to get our check. The gentleman that transported us to and from the parking lot was the nicest part of this experience!!!! Save your $$$ and drive to the General store!!!!

“Good food and good people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

Friendly service makes for a pleasant evening at Joe's. Their mahi mahi is super good and people go their for prime rib and the meat loaf. There is a beautiful view of the sunset, if you get there in time. We had a very nice evening at Joe's!

“Eat at Joe's & Get Spoiled!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Tucked away at the Wailea tennis club, Joe's may be the least well known member of Bev Gannon's wonderful Maui restaurants. Casual, yet chic, with a delightful airy island ambiance - Joe's offers wonderful food complimented by fabulous ocean and sunset views. Local seafood is a real highlight, but if you need a change from ono and mahi - you can get a superb cut of meat, pasta dish or poultry. The menu is not extensive - but is spot on. Just the way I like it - don't over do the choices - just make the choices great! I have to compliment the bartendress - she really is a mixologist supreme and the wine list hits all the right notes - you will find just the right compliment to your meal.
Here's a hint! There is a great early bird special! Check it out! And enjoy your meal while basking in the glow of a Maui sunset.

“Reasonable food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Surprising ambience, the inside was pleasantly surprising, thought from the outside would be just anther sport bad, but far from it. Food was ok, I had the Mahi Mahi special and it wasn't quite cooked all the way through even though the server said it was cooked all the way through. I'm afraid I liked my fish cooked.... Just a preference and no reflection in the restaurant, what I ate was very tasty. We shared a Kona mud pie, amazing dessert... Really enjoyed that. My husband had the burger and he said it was nice but quite spiced. Overall a pleasant experience just nothing special.
