“good snorkeling, great beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Ulua beach is a wonderful sand beach. There are facilities located at the end of the parking lot, which is about the middle of the beach. In the middle of the beach is also very nice coral outcropping that goes out around 100 yards. It is good for beginners because you can start to see fish and nice coral in fairly shallow water and the entry is sand. You can follow to corral fairly deep out and see some great turtles and the coral formations allow you to zig zag back and forth across a great under water scape. You should get it on the south end of the coral, like most beaches in this area. The north end tends to be a bit less protected and the coral growth isn't as rich.

“A Small and Picturesque Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

I have been coming to Wailea for years, and this is my favorite beach in the area. This is not a large beach so don't expect to take a long sunset walk on it. It may be only 100 yards long, and there are a few rocks at each end. This is a great spot to watch the sun go down, and to snorkel in the rather calm waters. There are no resorts on the beach, so there are not the throngs of people at other beaches further south. There is a small public parking lot next to the new Andaz hotel, and a public restroom and showers.

“Great Snorkeling!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013 via mobile

Large pretty beach, easy parking, great variety of sea life. My husband, son and I saw octopus, eel, and at least a dozen kinds of fish. This beach connects to Mokapu which was more crowded. It's in a swankier part of town, so no drunks passed out in the park (like at Kam III) or people trying to sell us drugs (like at Black Rock). Snorkeling is best in the morning.
