The lava flows at Nick's were the best we had on Maui, and we tried many different lava flows! We had teh Calamari Fritte (pretty good), the Island Snapper, and Rack of Lamb. I did not like the apple pie that I ordered for dessert, because it was almost sour. The chef used only Granny Smith apples, I think. It would have been better if a variety of tart and sweet apples had been used. Every other things we ordered was scrumptious!

We stayed at this hotel and restaurant was excellent. Especially the flaming strawberry dessert! I highly recommend.

I ate dinner for the first time at Nick's Fishmarket on my recent trip to Maui with three other family members. Food was very disappointing for the price and the hype. Entrees were average at best. Nobody was blown away by their meal. Service was very attentive and the outside seating was nice. We knew that there was no direct view of the ocean/sunset prior to making reservations. You will get a much better dinner (and view) for the money at Ferraro's, Spago, or Capische. Cannot recommend this restaurant given the price.

You should definitely treat yourself to being pampered like this at least once during your stay in Maui!! I worked in the restaurant industry for almost 10 years. During this time I worked at an establishment that did a great job at making the guest feel good and providing good service. After eating at Nick's I can certainly say that this was the best service I have ever had at a restaurant! I was blown away with the attention to detail and professionalism of the staff.

My wife and I each ordered fish (Ahi ($44) and Mahi Mahi ($36)) which were both superb. We also had a salad, Greek Maui Wowie ($14), which was one of the best salads my wife has ever had. We also had a mai tai and a blended tropical concoction that were great. After we ordered drinks it took less than 90 seconds to get both of them. Our water glasses never got lower than three drinks down before it was filled again.

Overall this was the best meal and service on the island (including our trip to Mama's Fish House which was also very good). Both restaurants are pricey but just know that you will walk away from Nick's with the same feeling as when you leave a spa....pampered and relaxed!
