I have been to Maui many times and the restaurant choices are numerous. We were staying in Wailea and decided to try Longhis in the Wailea shops. Our server was very distant and the food was average at best. My girlfriend and I are bartenders and we do not expect better service than anyone else, but you can tell when your server has little interest in conversation. For example, we dinned at Roys the previous night and had a average meal, but our server made the experience enjoyable. Our server at Longhis asked us if we were cold and we told her it was much more colder where we live. (she just walked away) We had the Opakapaka ($44) and ahi au poive. We told our server that our coffee drinks (irish coffees) had no liquor in them and she charged us for them, but sent us another coffee drink ( which in turn had no liquor in it either) When leaving the restaurant the bartenders glared at us for sending back drinks. Go to Roys and support one of the original chefs in Hawaii. Chris, Annapolis MD.
