“Amazing Asian Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

This restaurant is is located at the Grand Wailea Resort and is a must try. It is an Allan Wong restaurant and has wonderful food from all over asia. The sushi/sashimi platter was my daughters favourite. My husband and I shared many dishes some suggested by our waiter and they were all mouth watering. The desserts are to die for. We had the doughnuts filled will custard, chocolate mousse and cheesecake and they were all divine. The atmosphere and well spaced tables made it a very relaxing evening.

“Trendy and $pendy, but worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Great ambiance, great service, amazing portion sizes for raw fish, and a long, long list of creative choices. The food quality is second to none, and the tastes were complex and quite good. The only negative is the price; not that it's not worth the prices, it's just that with prices like this we won't be able to dine here very often.
Great pick for a special evening, or a once a year treat.

“Service had the night off”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

We were greeted at the door by one person who after taking our details and was about to take us to our table then decided to hand us off to another staff member to start the check in process again. Once seated we had orders taken reasonably promptly. Very little assistance was offered or given during the ordering process. We had two children ordering with our party of 6 from the kids menu. Food was brought out in a disorganized manner. Four adult courses were brought out before the kids meals arrived. We barely saw the waitress that had taken the original order. There was no check in to see how things were or if indeed we got what we ordered. Items that we ordered did not appear and we just gave up waiting. Funny thing was that they did make it onto the bill. Of course at this point our absent server was once again missing.

I am not really sure why things were so poor on the service front. It was dramatically below what you expect in a Waldorf resort. It seems the staff there are poorly trained or are just not interested.

This could be a great restaurant if they can get the service right. Tonight did not seem that busy so I would not like to see it on a busy night.

“One of a Kind”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Our family travels extensively and eats at some amazing restaurants. Amasia goes down as one of the most memorable meals. Kudos to Alan Wong for this restaurant! Food was creative and wonderfully prepared. Service and ambience just added to the experience. This restaurant is a must!!!!

“Top notch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Warm Passion Fruit Malasadas, Coconut ice cream in a chocolate coconut shell, tomato salad w/ outstanding vinegret dressing, sushi, cashew chicken asian salad, kebabs, "like butta" Rib steak--perfect. We had a slight break between two courses to "rest and make room". Everything was fantastic.
