“What a breakfast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

During our weeklong stay at Grand Wailea for our 25th anniversary, we ate here twice. We would have like to have had breakfast there every morning, but we just choked on the price. The food was good, especially with the made-to-order omelettes, and the view was amazing. I agree with another poster that it felt like living the "lifestyle of the rich and famous" at least for part of the day!

“World's best breakfast atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

Even if your not staying at the Grand Wailea, you must try breakfast here at least once. Incredible buffet, incredible open air area with fantastic views. I felt like "lifestyles of the rich and famous". What a great way to start the day!

“Good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Loved the atmosphere of eating breakfast on the grand terrace balcony. Make sure you request a table outside overlooking the pool are and beach. The food was good but a bit overpriced for what you received. However the view more than made up for it.

“Great Champagne Brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

We came for brunch on the last Sunday of April as a treat and we were very pleased. Our reservation was right when they open at 10:30 am and was nice as it wasn't very busy and the food hasn't had a chance to be picked over.

There's a good selection of food to choose from and lots of people even checked out the kiddy corner as they had some yummy choices as well. All drinks are refilled before you even realize you're running low and we never felt rushed to leave. We had a lovely view of the property and sat where the sliding door open up to the patio. As it is open to the outside you will see birds scavenging for food but that is extremely common on the island and not much can be done if you want to enjoy the fresh open air.

Yes it's a little steep in price for a typical brunch but the endless champagne, views and buffet selection definitely justify it. Plus, as we had rented a condo for our trip, this was a nice morning out and chance to explore the hotel and its grounds. Also, they have a hula dancer at the main entrance which is another nice touch.

Lastly, if you're driving to the Grand Wailea from elsewhere, you have no choice but to valet your car. Let the hostess at the brunch know that you've parked and she will validate your parking for you, otherwise it will cost you $20. When you collect your car, they will have cooled it down for you with the air conditioning and leave 2 mini bottles of water for you in the cup holders.
