Great location & beautiful views from this property. For the price point, the hotel could use a few updates. Cleanliness was top notch & the service was also excellent. Make sure you find out about all of the extra costs at check in. We weren't informed about the $35/day Valet fee at check-in so it was a surprise on our final bill!

Room Tip: If you have later travel plans and feel inconvenienced by the checkout time, make sure to ask the fr...

We absolutely love the Grand Wailea--the beautiful sculptures, the beautiful landscaped grounds and the wonderful beach.

However, the hotel needs updating. The furniture in our room was chipped and scarred from years of use and abuse, the carpet was stained and the bathroom tiles reminded us of hotels we stayed in in the 1980's. We commented on all of the above to the front desk manager, who intercepts all calls to the general manager, and he said he understood and that they plan an extensive renovation this August.

Ok, that's good news but if you go before August, don't expect the "Ritz" and if you go during the renovation, expect construction---just a tip from us, your fellow traveler.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view on the third or fourth floor.

My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights at the Grand Wailea and we loved it. The resort is beautiful. We spent time on the beach and the pools. We especially loved the bar in the grotto. The staff seemed friendly. Our room was very clean and the beds are very comfortable, but the decor seemed outdated, especially in the bathroom (phone with cord next to the toilet!?!) Wireless signal very weak and frustrating to use. Regardless, I'd still recommend the resort.

The Grand Wailea and McCoy Travel made this trip amazing. The resort is simply the finest family resort in Hawaii. We had an amazing stay and the service was impeccable, especially Ritchie, the finest bartender and a very good man at the grotto bar. The resort was immaculate and it has near every amenity imaginable.
Mellisa McCoy at McCoy travel set up the entire trip and we could not have been more pleased. We would highly recommend both the resort and the travel agent. It was a huge help to have numerous details resolved before we even arrived. Melissa was awesome regarding our wishes for the trip. She took the time to find out what we were into and who would be the best operator to book with, she had it all set up, correctly!

Great family resort if you can afford it. Excellent hotel amenities for kids age 3 - 13. Beach is fantastic too. Never need to leave the resort, but its easy too if you want to. We stayed with another couple and found the property large and yet easily manageable. Would recommend this property to anyone who can afford the Napua tower, as the service here is second to none. Wife says this is the best spa she's ever been to, and she should know, she's probably been to every spa on earth.

My cousin who lives in Maui invited me to the Grand Wailea Spa for the day of pure bliss and pampering. It was a marvelous treat going into various treatment baths, sauna, steam and Jacuzzi's, warm and cold, various shower treatments, a true Roman type spa to indulge, eat fruit and relax to tranquil music. Then, the crème de la crème, massage. After, wrapped in an oversized Turkish robe, sitting on the veranda overlooking the pools and beach with lemon water to refresh after a day long, over the top indulgence.

The Grand Wailea is a great place to go for a family vacation or romantic vacation. The staff caters to you in every way!! The Napua Tower staff goes above and beyond in catering to guest and making sure the stay is amazing!! The day I arrived Elizabeth Palar was MOD and she went out of her way to make sure everything was ready and prepared for my stay and the staff was excellent!!! All the restaurants have excellent food and the bar staff are excellent. The entire staff was excellent as well as remembering returning guests and their names now that is service :-) Excellent location for every activity that anyone would like to enjoy
