CASA MAYOR occupies a very special place in my travel world. ..... because it found me when I was lost! Daysi & Antonio helped me find my way & also gave me a tour of their wonderful casa
particular/B&B. It was a clear case of finding a gem. I vowed to return which I did with my friend, John, who acquired the name of Juan.
Antonio, the Professor, Masseur & Casa Papa adopted us, just like family. We learned of many things from Natural Health to Stingless Bees. Daysi, notable chef & Casa Mama, ministered to our needs for breakfast with fabulous CUBAN COFFEE & dinner delights served up with individual care, in the spacious, shaded garden patio.
Crisp chips of MALANGA included.........WOW! Juan remarked that Versailles wouldn't get much better than this. I took many photos of the artifacts & architecture. The spacious casa has sitting rooms, drawing room, library, grand fiesta quarter, 3rd floor mirador with spectacular views of sunrise & sunset and very accommodating bedrooms. Often, in the mornings, we watched young students parading past Casa Mayor heading towards their schools. Bright uniforms, bright, smiling faces in which we could see Professor Martis.......THE FUTURE OF CUBA.
