Found this place on the internet and booked a 2-day night stay this past summer quite easily with Beverly, the owner, and Joyce, the manager. Quick reponse to all inquiries and nice website with photos of the various rooms. On arrival, Joyce had upgraded us to the Paschendale Suite rather than our original request for Lingan Mines room, which had a better water view. However, we were very pleased with the change, with a huge bedroom with canopy bed and fireplace, small adjoining sitting room and quaint but small bath with antique cast iron tub. We had easy access to a shared deck, too. Joyce was so charming: very energetic, helpful, hostess for a truly lovely B&B, in the traditional style. Good breakfasts both mornings, too. We made an easy through Sydney to get down to tour the Bras d'Or Lakes region, which is stunning with lots of cute towns. Only drawback is the actual neighborhood around the B&B -- mostly older, run down houses, at the outskirts of town and not easy to find on the map we had. A real find, in our book!
