“Fresh, healthy and satisfying!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

This place is a diamond in the rough. It's the antidote to NFLD food which, although it can be delicious, is often rich and salty. Everything is fresh and homemade including the delicious bread. We had breakfast of oatmeal, fruit and toast and granola yogurt and fruit. Fresh and filling. We also ordered lunch to go since we were going to Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve later on. We had an awesome ham (real carved roast ham) and cheese sandwich and a delicious quiche. Great selection of specialty teas and real espresso. Look forward to eating there again tomorrow!

“Best breakfast we've had in a year!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

We had the big breakfast. With ham and bits of pineapple, 2 eggs(over easy), potato pancake with bits of veggies and molasses bread with raisins. It was so goooood. We were sorry we had to leave on the Ferry from Argentia to Sydney. Would have loved to try lunch!!
Don't miss it!!!

“Best Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Stumbled upon this gem of a café while touring Newfoundland. It is in a very interesting location.
It was raining and cool so we were delighted to see Phil had Fish Chowder on the menu. My husband raved about it the entire time he was eating. It was the perfect consistency and contained numerous huge pieces of cod. To quote Phil "it takes two spoons to pick them up". The vegetable chili is the best I have ever eaten and the molasses raisin bread is very delicious. Great view and a nice deck if the weather were nicer. Phil, staff and other patrons were very friendly. It made for a nice, cozy atmosphere. Wishing the café was closer to home - would be returning again and again.

Cozy cafe with healthy choices - from granola, yogurt and fruit for breakfast to ham and egg breakfast sandwich. Lunch - sandwiches made with homemade bread, aged cheddar and grilled ham. Desserts - all homemade, can't decide which one!

“Wonderful breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

Everything is fresh, home-made and natural. Various dietary needs (wheat-free, milk free... ) are cheerfully catered to. The bread is home-made and really great, even the gluten-free bread tastes like bread. Friendly service makes it a good way to start the day.
