Lovely stay AT THE monmouth historic inn.
Romántic.
If you travel with Children remember to ask of additional accommodations.
Super nice staff
Don't forget to see all the antebellum houses and plantations.
Not to many places to have dinner with children specially if you arrive late.

Everything about Monmouth is a positive. We stayed for 3 night is Cottage 36 and when we return, we will request that cottage. The staff, accommodations, and breakfast were superb. Be sure to do the tour of the main house. The grounds are beautiful and very manicured. What we enjoyed also was being able to enjoy the different area of the outdoors. When we visit Natchez again, we will stay at Monmouth.

One of the sites we stayed on a recent anniversary trip... my wife and I had been here before on a previous stay when the site was under previous management. The grounds are well kept - very picturesque. There is a tour of the main house which we did not do again but do recommend for first time visitors. This is a National Historic Landmark dating back to 1818. A definite highlight of a visit to Natchez.

This is such a wonderful place to just get away from life's monotonous grind. Everything was just spectacular and I'll definitely be back first chance I get!! The service was great!! The room was perfect in every way and the staff will go out of their way to make sure that you have everything that you need. The grounds at the Monmouth are simply breathtaking with something new around every corner.

We returned to Monmouth for our twelfth anniversary because we remembered our first visit with such delight. Monmouth is one of the crown jewels in Mississippi ! Authentic, elegant, warm, peaceful are only a few of the adjectives I use to describe it. We stayed in a garden room this visit. It was so quiet that we slept until 10:30! My husband never sleeps past 7. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Hal, who, seemed to anticipate our every need. We can't wait until our next visit.

My wife and I spent a weekend getaway here at Monmouth and it was an amazing experience! We had a wonderful time relaxing at this beautiful and peaceful escape! The grounds are stunning and the history the home holds is fantastic! The food is wonderful as well!

We stayed for 2 nights and had room number 50, it's in one of the cottage buildings and was great. 2 bedrooms, one with a full four poster bed, huge bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, nice porch with rocking chairs overlooking a garden pond. The grounds are really picturesque as is the main house, I can understand why it gets used for weddings. The staff were really good to us, we were a little miffed the restaurant wasn't open on our first night and then were told it was fully booked on our second and final night, in the end they agreed to let us in the main house dinning room and we were joined by a charming American couple and had a great evening. The breakfast was among the best we had on our 3 week tour and the breakfast room is fantastic. It made a wonderful change from the 'chain' hotels we used elsewhere. We loved this place and 5 stars isn't enough.
