My wife and I traveled to Natchez recently and stayed in Tom's sunset view cottage. What an exceptional experience! From the small touches like fresh pastries, snacks and beverages to the exquisite bed and extra large shower with two shower heads, to the amazing view of the mighty Mississippi River - Tom has it all covered. And as if the luxurious accommodations were not enough - Tom provided us with great suggestions for food, sightseeing and shopping! If you're looking to pay big prices to stay in an antebellum B&B this is not the right place for you, but if you want a serene oasis loaded with amenities and an amazing view, you cannot make a better choice than the sunset view cottage!

This is a wonderful, new cottage very well located just outside of town in a peaceful and private location on the edge of the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. It is set well back from the lightly travelled Cemetery Road, with incredible views to the west over the river.

The cottage is new, very well designed, comfortable and feels more like a spacious private home rather than a cottage. It's spotlessly clean, and very well equipped including a fantastic library of books, DVDs and music related to the history and culture of the South.

The owner, Tom Scarborough, is extremely helpful and pleasant while respecting privacy.

We liked it so much we stayed in it twice during our 2 week holiday from Australia!

We highly recommend it and can't think of a single negative!

The only problem we had staying at Sunset View was it only lasted 2 nights. My next trip to Natchez and stay at Sunset View will be a little longer.

Everything there was excellent. I could have stayed on the rear screened porch and read and slept forever. All while watching the river roll by. The little cottage we stayed in was excellent. Very nice, very clean and tidy. I only wish I could get my wife to laundry our towels and such to smell and feel so good.

I'm already trying to justify and plan another trip there!!

My wife and I spent five wonderful days in Natchez, May'08. What made our time so very enjoyable was our stay at the Sunset Cottages B&B. Not your typical B&B as you have your own cottage and a nicely stocked fridge and kitchen to do your own thing. The cottage and its location cannot be beat. It is a little ways North of town on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and is wonderfully appointed. It doesn't get much better than returning to the cottage after a day of sightseeing and relaxing on the back screened in porch and watching the river roll by and the sunset. For a wonderful and relaxing stay with a great view, I highly recommend the Sunset Cottages.
