We enjoyed the inn's hospitality and delicious food prepared by the owners Doug and Donald in a beautiful setting. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, the Inn and its owners receive a 10. Doug gave us interesting info about Natchez which was helpful in our tour of the town. The mint juleps that were served were a very nice touch. In our opinion, Natchez is up there with the likes of St. Augustine and Charleston. We will definitely recommend the Oak Hill Inn and the city of Natchez to our friends and family. In addition, we left some of our clothes at the Inn and the owners went above and beyond to make arrangements to send these items to our home.

My husband and I took a short one day getaway to natchez and saw that HIstoric Oak Hill Inn was rated #1, so we went for it! Best decision ever! Doug and Don are such wonderful hosts! Unfortunately for our one day trip we did get sick, however it was so nice to have such an amazing room! The bed, the linens, the towels are of best quality! Breakfast is 5 stars! The front porch and back patio are two beautiful place to sit and have coffee or their complimentary mint julep or wine! We will definitely be back and would not consider anywhere else to stay but Historic Oak Hill Inn. Oh yeah, we were a little concerned by the location from the map thinking it might be to far from things to walk.... but it's really right there! Great Location!
Thanks again Doug and Don for such a wonderful stay! We will be back!

Fortunately, my husband and I have stayed in many B&B's throughout the country. Being residents of Mississippi, Natchez is always a favorite location for a weekend get away -- a town rich in history known for beautiful homes and amazing accomodations. To our GREAT delight, we selected Historic Oak Hill Inn for our most recent stay. We are proud to claim it as a Mississippi property!

Our hosts, Doug and Don, have lovingly and tastefully restored the home. Attention to detail has been given each and every room. The grounds are lovely, each and every corner filled with native plants and flowers. A beautiful fountain adorns the back yard and provides a soothing backdrop for enjoying a glass of wine or cocktail. Everything is imaculately maintained and groomed - inside and out.

And breakfast! What a treat; Eggs Florentine, Bananas Foster Blintzes, fresh watermelon, croissants, homemade banana muffins, fresh squeezed orange juice and freshly brewed coffee. All served in Oak Hill's dining room, complete with roses, music, china and crystal serving pieces. The dining experience compares to any Five Star restaurant.

Simply stated, visit Dunlieth, Stanton Hall and Monmouth. STAY at Oak Hill. It is magnificent! We WILL return. Many thanks to our hosts!

Room Tip: Reserve the entire house for a Friends or Family Weekend Get Away!

There are many reasons why Oak Hill is ranked first of the B & B's of Natchez: a first-rate, gourmet, home-prepared breakfast, no grits and gravy here; beautifully manicured gardens in which to lounge and play with the three gorgeous outdoor cats, all very tame and lovable; the unbelievable helpfulness and knowledge of proprietors Doug and Don, always willing to share their knowledge of the beautiful city; the magnificence of the house and furnishings and the history therein; and, last but certainly not least....the cleanliness! Having stayed in B & B's coast to coast, that cleanliness is either there or not. At Oak Hill, there were no dust-incaked blinds, no dead flies about, no unswept porches, etc. It is immaculately run. As we departed, we turned to each other and agreed: This was the ultimate B & B in which we have ever lodged. Book it!

I can't say thank you often enough to Doug and Don for making our stay at Oak Hill so memorable. We shared the upstairs area with my in-laws. The bedrooms were really nice yet comfortable and homey. We didn't feel like guests...we felt like family. It was the perfect mini vacation...from sipping a mint julep on the front porch to time spent in the library perusing Doug's collection of cookbooks to relaxing around the fountain in the courtyard (the landscaping is simply beautiful). Breakfast is a an experience in itself...gourmet food served on 1800 china. If you stay at Oak Hill do not miss Don's tour of the house. Don gave us information on area restaurants and tours. They were always available to answer any questions we had. We enjoyed touring Natchez but couldn't wait to return to our "home away from home". I know there are many B & B's in Natchez but I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Why settle when Oak Hill is the best of the best. Can't wait to return. Planning a girls/sisters weekend to Oak Hill.

Room Tip: The downstairs room and bathroom are larger than the upstairs bedrooms but they are all beautifully...

On our recent road trip through the south we were fortunate to have stayed at Oak Hill Inn. The suite we had reserved on the lower floor was full of southern comfort and attention to every detail. The breakfast each morning was like dininng at a true southern mansion with all the trimmings and service. The food was fantastic and the other guest were delightful. We were in heaven with the "Eggs Benidict" ! No grits and gravy here. Being in the hospitality industry ourselves, we could not praise the host more for their special care with all the guests.
Creaky floors ? Hey, it's a grand old house with lots of character. Mint Julips by the garden fountain on a lazy afternoon...who could ask for more. An don't forget the delicious cookies on the back veranda.
If you are passing through Natchez this should be a "Must Stay" on your list. Tell Doug and Don that their guests from New Mexico said hello !
We have no doubt that you will enjoy your visit at Oak Hill Inn

Room Tip: The only first floor suite is super.

We stayed two nights at the Oak Hill Inn in April and I cannot praise the hosts enough for our wonderful stay. Doug and Don certainly know the meaning of attention to detail. Our downstairs suite was perfect, the breakfasts were certainly gourmet and prepared skilfully, Don introduced me to mint juleps served in a silver cup, delicious. I feel that they certainly know how to look after their guests and other establishments could certainly learn a lot with regard to customer care from the wonderful Doug and Don.
