Great lunch at Carriage House Restaurant. Fantastic Sunday brunch buffet with yummy Southern cuisine.
$10 lunch meal is reasonable. Had a mint julep for $6. The BLT had Brie cheese nice touch. Table clothes give it an extra star. Service was friendly.
The tour takes 30 minutes. A Grand Mansion that cost over $9,000,000 in today's money to build and a few more million to furnish. It was less than $90,000 in the 1850's. Very interesting tour. General MacArthur stayed here.
The size of this mansion is unbelievable and the furniture exquisite. It's a place not to miss when visiting Natchez.
I loved this historic house. Our tour guide was well informed and it was just beautiful. If you have a love of Antebellum architecture do not miss this one.
