My husband and I live about 90 miles from Natchez and travel
frequently there for festivals and weekend getaways. We have stayed at 1888 Wensel House at least 15 or more times over the years and think it is an incredible bargain. This B&B is
only two blocks from the Mississippi River and is in walking distance of just about everything in the Historic Natchez District.
The rooms are large and very clean. I love the Oak Room because the oak furniture belonged to the owners grandmother. My husband adores the Cottage. You get complimentary cocktails/drinks and a variety of newspapers are available in the parlor. The breakfast is incredible...the table is set so pretty and you have a wonderful Southern breakfast of orange juice, coffee, fresh fruit, pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, grits, biscuits served family style. The best part are the owners, Ron and Mimi Miller. They are a wealth of information for tourists and historians but are just simply two of the nicest and gracious people we've met in the B&B industry. If you are looking for a bed and breakfast that will exceed your expectations and will not disappoint then choose the 1888 Wensel House.
