My boyfriend and I took a quick Memorial Day vacation to Natchez. We stayed in the cottage at the 1888 Wensel House and absolutely loved it! The cottage has two cute bedrooms, a bath, kitchen, dining area, living room, and front and back porches. It is a great value for the money, private, and cozy. We also had an opportunity to view the rooms in the main house before we left. They were just as beautiful and surprisingly private as well.
Ron and Mimi were the best hosts! They knew everything there was to know about Natchez, including all the best restaurants and must-see historical sites. They were also extremely helpful with directions.
The breakfast was also phenomenal! They served everything from grits to fresh fruit and pancakes in family style so that you could sit and mingle with other guests. Ron and Mimi were very eager to attend to our needs. My boyfriend was sick--Mimi served him breakfast in bed!
The B&B was also in a great location; close to historical sites like Rosalie plantation, the Canal Street Depot, less than a block from the river, and near yummy restaurants.
We will never go back to Natchez without a visit to Wensel House!
