“Good value for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

I turned up without a reservation on a very busy weekend when the first two hotels I tried were full. The front desk found me a room facing the river but, unfortunately, on the ground floor. Because the pool (and small bar) and terrace were just outside the window I was afraid it might be noisy. But no, even though there were always people out there sharing a drink and taking in the view. It's a lovely spot for a little down time when you've been walking the town all day. And although the hotel is at the top of a hill it's a fairly easy walk into the center of Natchez and back.
My room was clean, well appointed and quite cheerful. Breakfast was only okay, but then I'm not a big fan of grits, although it's wonderful to eat in a real restaurant with table linens instead of the usual little room with the TV looming over your shoulder. I think for the price it's a fine hotel and I would come back.

Stayed two nights as a side trip of a 3,000 mile major road vacation (OK to FL and back). Great room overlooking the Mississippi River. Very clean and nicely appointed throughout. Restaurant was fabulous and they catered to our special needs (no extra cost). Breakfast was a part of the price and it was a full plate of scrambled eggs, grits, a sausage, bacon, very tasty orange juice, coffee, etc. Had two dinners that were flawless. All hotel staff were very pleasant, but the restaurant wait staff was the best. Joseph had been there over 30 years (breakfast) and Douglas was the evening waiter. Intimate dining setting. Never heard any of the other guests. Felt very safe. Beds were clean, comfortable. couple of minor bath flaws (toilet seat needed tightening, bit of crud under the sink lip). Took an AARP discount. Would recommend reservations. Will never stay anywhere else if in the area again. May go back just to stay there....really. It was a highlight.

Room Tip: Stayed in Room 328. Hotel has elevators.

This hotel is very aptly named, as it sits on a hill overlooking the Mississippi, affording its guests fabulous views. Our room was large, spotless and very comfortable, with a fabulous view of the river. The restaurant was lovely, again overlooking the river. Meals are very well prepared and good value for money. Excellent standard of service. The hotel is well situated to explore what Natchez has to offer, and it's surroundings. Highly recommended. I did not use a fitness centre, so cannot comment on that.

We were on a 4000mile trip from Canada to Texas and through Florida to South Carolina and back. Most of the time our accommodations were in Hotels.
I had booked the Vue hotel in Natchez because it said it overlooked the river and that sounded nice. What a surprise we were in for.
As we walked into the foyer of the Vue one would have thought one was entering a very grand home or a very up market hotel. It was beautiful, different seating areas where one could have a conversation in privacy. The decor was gorgeous with bright colours melding with each creating a feeling of peace but also uplifting.
The reception desk did not take up the entire side of the lobby but was discreetly placed in a corner with plenty of room for guests but without taking away from the beauty of the lobby. We found out that we were a day late!! The manager happened to be there at the desk and said "not a problem" and even upgraded us to a suite!
Our room was lovely, comfortable and modern. The suite overlooked the Mississippi river and the bridge to Louisiana. After we had freshened up we went to the dining room for dinner and again we pleasantly surprised by the quality and choice of the food on the menu. We had a delicious dinner and returned to our room. We were both very tired and were glad of a king bed with very comfy mattress. We slept in the next morning and as we did not have a long trip that day took advantage of the noon checkout and stayed until the last possible minute.
I do not think we have stayed in such a nice hotel for the price in a long time.
Well done Vue Hotel. We would recommend you anytime.

My wife and I visited Natchez for the weekend and stayed at the Vue hotel. The hotel itself sits on a high bluff overlooking the Mississippi river and bridge. The hotel itself is clean, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are fairly well appointed. The beds were comfortable, and it is also quiet. The only thing preventing me from giving the hotel an excellent rating is the complimentary breakfast that is offered each morning. It is a "plated" affair, which means that each morning you go in to the dining room and seat yourself and the server automatically goes to the back and brings the breakfast to your table which consists of scrambled eggs, grits, one sausage link, one bacon strip, and toast. He does not come to your table first and there are no changes, choices, or substitutions, so if you are like me and cannot eat eggs, you don't have much of a breakfast. We stayed here for 3 days and breakfast was the same everyday. Overall, the hotel is nice for the price and in a good location central to the attractions of Natchez.

Room Tip: When making reservations, ask for a room with a view of the river.

Upgraded our normal room reservation to a suite before we arrived. Breakfast is a set plate of scrambled eggs, grits, bacon and a biscuit which got old fast. Good location overlooking the Mississippi River not far from downtown Natchez.

Last minute reservations can sometimes not meet your expectations but this time we hit the jackpot. Beautiful view from our beautiful room. Great, waitperson served, breakfast in the morning. We couldn't have done better if we tried.
