“What a Staircase”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

My favorite part of Auburn of course is the free standing spiral staircase. It is a must to see on the list of places to visit. You must see this awesome staircase. Very unusual design. Auburn has a very sad story to tell too. I would go back.

“Nice home with friendly guides”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

The spiral staircase was probably the most interesting feature of the home. ALL the home furnishings had been auctioned off but they had been able to obtain a few original items back. The most expensive tour at $12 per person - no senior discount.

“Museum visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

once again it is hard to ask a man to give a review when he is tired and ready to go back to the hotel--lol--and he would rather be elsewhere, and it really isn't fair to the museum.

“Okay but long tour”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

Our tour had too much history. An hour is too much info when you're hitting four mansions in a day. Some of the other mansions could be worthy of an hour but this one would be better as 30 minutes. Spiral staircase interesting. Some original furnishings. Grounds not as remote as others. Stanton and long wood are better mansions to see.

“Beautiful Historic Home”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

This is an incredible antebellum museum home with interesting history. The most interesting feature is the staircase, which you see immediately upon entering the house. Per the terms of the last owner's will, the house and property was given to Natchez and is now Duncan Park.
