I just had to write a review to hopefully ease the minds of potential visitors to Linden. Our recent visit with two couples from England and a couple from Kosciusko, Ms. could not have been better. Mrs. Feltus is a great hostess who knows everyone in town. Her home is charming and my wife and I stayed in 2 different rooms and both were clean and comfortable. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. The breakfasts were excellent and the ladies who cooked and served were fun and friendly. If you want a relaxing comfortable holiday Natchez is a easy going historic town and Linden is a wonderful place to stay. I have recommended it to several friends and hope to return soon. Based on the negative reports my Missiissippi friends were concerned before they booked but now they are glad they did not stay elsewhere. These people are either hard to please or they use Holiday Inn Express as their standard.

What a find Linden is!
Our room was beautiful with lovely antique furniture and an oversized king canopy bed. We loved sitting on the veranda outside of the room to chat and read.
The atmosphere is that of a grander age that has long past
The breakfast was served in the home's dining room and was a real Southern feast. The service was perfect and I felt underdressed for the magnificent room. Mrs. Feltus, the owner was so wonderful and helpful to us.
Her tour of her ancestral home is worth the trip. We wish we could have stayed longer.
We'd love to return.

My husband and I just returned from one night at Linden Planation. Quite frankly I'm glad we were not there any longer. Our room was not very comfortable. The bathroom was TINY and my husband kept hitting his head on the door frame. Breakfast was served at 8:30 a.m. sharp. There was only one seating.( The food was good though.) Everyone was given a tour of the home right afterward. So much for a leisurely morning. If you are looking for a plantation setting I would look elsewhere. Natchez has many choices.

After reading some of the reviews on here, I have to say I was a little nervous about Linden, but was happy to find that my fears were unfounded. No, Linden is not the Ritz, but if you want something expensive - pay for it! We found our room to be very comfortable and clean, and we could walk outside, sit in a rocker, and enjoy the peace and quiet. I absolutely loved Mrs. Feltus. She is a hoot, and gave us a tour of the house after breakfast, and it was very informative. As for breakfast, I was also a little concerned after reading the reviews, but I enjoyed it. We had sausage casserole, grits, fruit, and biscuits. No, they are not the big, fluffy biscuits you will find on the Shoney's breakfast bar. I was a little apprehensive when I looked at them, but all I had to do was take a bite. They were delicious! My husband and I both ate several. The staff was very attentive, and even brought me hot tea because I don't drink coffee. Mrs. Feltus also made sure that everyone had what they needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Linden very much!

I will start out by saying that the staff here are very nice people, but that wasn't enough to make up for all the short comings. First of all, this bed and breakfast is difficult to locate if you are visiting for the first time. We finally ended up meeting a nice gentleman at a gas station who let us follow him right up to the driveway. They could use a few well placed signs. When we got there, the employee who met us was very nice. She showed us our room and was very helpful.

The room was odd to say the least. In the bathroom--right beside to the toilet is FULL length mirror. It looks like it covers what might have been a door, but it was not a good placement for a mirror! The bathroom was semi-clean. More like what you would expect in a cheap motel than a nice B&B. There were bugs in the tub--alive.

The bedroom had a nice bed, but the walls were very thin and we could hear the couple on the other side. The control for the room on the opposite side was in our room and this created a stressful situation because we didn't know how the other couple would like it set! Too bad the control wasn't for the room with the thin walls--they could have just whispered how they wanted it set and we would have heard them!

Breakfast was HORRIBLE. I have never been disappointed with breakfast at a B&B, but this was an exception I will never forget. I am a born and bred Southerner and I KNOW what a biscuit is suppose to be. What we were served was unacceptable. We were also served something that tasted like grits cooked in my late Granny's bacon grease jar and coffee that neither of us could drink. We stayed two nights, but breakfast was so bad, on the second morning, we fled well before breakfast and sought refugee at a local resturant.
