The employees were awesome.
The pickles were amazing.
The boudin was great.
The chili had original flavor.
The atmosphere rocked.
They don't mess around with their sweet tea.
The tamales... meh.
Texture was great but the heat was 5 out of 10, flavor was 3 out of 10. I'd give a better overall rating but a place with tamales in the name and as an ingredient in most dishes should deliver a lot more in their staple. I think they may not have cooked them long enough, I don't know. If you HAVE to have great tamales take a ride about an hour up the river and hit the Tamale Place in Vicksburg.
