“Great Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

I stayed at the Mill Valley Inn last week for a few nights and loved my stay. The breakfast was wonderful and the wine and cheese hour a great way to end the day. Special thanks to Euelio, who is in charge of the breakfast service, and Kelly, who worked the front desk. They both did a terrific job and were very gracious and helpful.

Stayed in Creek cottages, beautiful room, large bathroom with shower and tub, great location. Breakfast included - was ok. Very accommodating at front desk. Wish this has been a romantic trip instead of a business trip - perfect ambiance for couples, though would recommend for all.

Beautiful location. The back of the hotel feels as if you are in the middle of the redwoods. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. There is an afternoon wine and cheese reception in the common area backing up on the redwoods - just beautiful!

Room Tip: Call the hotel directly to have them help you to chose a room.

The Mill Valley Inn is tucked just off the center of Mill Valley and is well worth seeking out as a central location for exploring San Francisco, Muir Woods and Stinson Beach, as well as the Wine Country north of here. There is a generous wine tasting with snacks each afternoon, an bikes to borrow as well. Great spot!

Room Tip: I loved the balcony room with fireplace.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel for 3 nights while attending a friends wedding in Marin County and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Prior to arriving we had stayed at a fairly large corporate hotel in San Francisco and the difference was obvious straight away. Reception is a single room at the front of the hotel and the welcome was very friendly. We arrived early but the girl checked that the room was ready and got us checked in straight away. It was a large room with distinctive furniture and bed and my wife loved it - very romantic.

The room has everything that you need and was extremely comfortable and spacious. The staff are fantastic and I got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble for them and they would go out of their way to help with anything. Breakfast was great and a nice bonus, don't expect all the buffet options that you would get at a large city centre hotel but it was very tasty and there was a good range of cereals, bread, fruit etc. The wine and cheese in the evening was really good and gave the feeling that you were in a Club lounge. The evening that we went Brian, (I think that was his name but my wife thinks it might be Sean), was on duty and he was so friendly, took a real interest in our travels and his service was amazing. The wine was also very good.

Mill Valley itself is a wonderful town and I am already thinking about how we can get back there next year. If you get a chance try Boo Koo which is the Asian Street Kitchen Diner about 5 minutes from the hotel - great food. If we get the chance to go back there is no doubt that we will stay in the Mill Valley Inn again.

This was a nice hotel. A bit overpriced for what you get. We booked the largest family suite on the top floor and I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a fireplace in the room. The bathroom was nice and the views of the redwoods were lovely. The breakfast was very good in the mornings. Over all, it was a nice stay in a nice location. Easy to walk everywhere.

Stayed here for a weekend with a wedding party and could not have been more comfortable. The rooms are well appointed and charming, big bath tubs, fire places, breakfast included as well as a happy hour wine and cheese. Great toiletries, flat screen tv, internet and great location right by downtown market, shops, parklands for hiking, restaurants, anything and or everything one needs. Absolutley, perfectly comfortable and a very helpful staff. Worried that it might be too "small town" for our nyc friends and relatives but it was completely up to any excellent standard, no need to have worried. I would recommend this hotel to anybody, any time.

Room Tip: Every room i saw was nice, and we saw a few different rooms with all our friends and relatives. Neve...
