“Perfect location for biking and superb breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2010

We've just returned from a two night stay at the Harp Inn and it's hard to praise it enough. Double rooms dead clean and the beds comfy. Shower was a bit weedy, but that is honestly the only fault.

Breakfast was as nice as I've ever had and they keep a perfect pint.

A super value simple pace to stay with a friendly, warm welcome.

I stayed here for night after a canoeing adventure down the Wye with my girlfriend. The owner greeted us on our arrival and from there on in the stay was fantastic. We were shown to a clean, comfortable and well equiped room with a lovely view of the river Wye, by both the owners. We were greeted almost like family coming to stay, they could not have been more accomodating and welcoming.
The evening saw us head down to the bar for a meal and a few post adventures ales. The bar food was excellent, good quality served quickly with excellent portions and very reasonably priced. The selection of real ale was superb and the beer was very well kept. A good selection of ciders was also on offer. The real gem of the stay was the welcome we recieved from the locals who not only chatted with us but insisted we join one of their pub quiz teams for the evening! (if you get roped in, make sure your on Andrew's team, he really is the fount of all knowledge!)
The Harp bosts live music nights and various other monthly events and I am quite sure that even if nothing is you will recieve the warmest of welcomes!
I can not enthuse enough about this gem of an Inn and I for one will be making another trip except this time the purpose of my visit to Glasbury will be specifically to go to the Harp.

I've recently returned from a trip to Glasbury/Hay on Wye during which we stayed one night at the Harp Inn. The owners and staff made us feel so welcome! Fantastic Ale, cider and food, and a great night stay at this warm and friendly country Inn.

There was a pub quiz being held at the bar on the evening we stayed. We were made to feel so welcome by the locals, who insisted we joined their quiz teams. It turned out to be an absolutely fantastic night.

The rooms are very nicely decorated, in a building with fantastic character.

Staying at the Inn was the surprise highlight of our holiday, and I'd love to visit the Inn again, if only to be able to say hello to those who made us feel so welcome.

We stayed at the Harp in order to break up a return journey from South Wales. We were received with the sort of hospitality you only ever hear about. We were shown to our room and told if we needed anything we only need ask. The beds were dressed in spotless white linens and proved very comfortable. The food was good and reasonably priced, breakfast was large but tasty. I felt very comfortable staying at this pub where all the staff were very attentive.
