My husband and I stayed at the Royal for 1 night (not long enough ! ). We stayed in a 4 poster room which was great.The bed was huge and very comfortable, the seating area had a log fire and the bathroom was big and very clean. The only complaint about the room was the TV, which was a small portable one with a poor picture.
We had dinner in the hotel which was very good and breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked to order, nice change from the pre-cooked buffet efforts.
Staff were very friendly and helpfull. I would recomend this hotel for a romantic break away.

Gillian and I had booked a double room for the weekend. And what a room we got, number nine, a 4 poster, and with a large bath made for two. The hotel was superb, we ate in both nights and the food was delicous. The breakfasts are massive and terriffic, the black pudding and scrambbled eggs amazing.
We climbed a Munro on the saturday, and what a room to go back to and relax. We will be going back there again. Great hotel with great people.
