“Great value, choice and service for all the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

First time visiting mondo's with a party of 8 ppl after some confusion with the time if table booking and the wait for over an hour for another table I could have written a poor review however I just can't fault it, they couldn't have been more helpful and the free drinks made up for the mistake, food was brilliant great choice and was piping hot on arrival. Lovely decor and nice bar area it's a must visit u won't be disappointed

Situated in the heart of downtown Coatbridge you will find this wee gem.
My wife had already been here so I had to see what she was talking about!
Certainly was not disappointed at all.
This is a lovely place with nice decor & surroundings. The staff are friendly and very efficient.
We had a lovely two course lunch for just over a tenner.
The food was lovely and well presented.
All in all this is good value.
You will not be disappointed.
I will be back!!

“Good value food, lovely surroundings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013 via mobile

Visited on a Wednesday night, restaurant was quite quiet but we were promptly seated by a pleasant waitress. The decor is really nice with decent space between tables. We had two courses each, for starters bruschetta & a lentil soup. Bruschetta was delicious, great balance of flavours, best bruschetta I have had in a long time. The lentil soup was also very tasty which just the right amount of bacon so the flavour was subtle. The only comment on the soup was that it was served with a everyday white roll as opposed to some crusty bread, but ultimately bread is bread. For the mains we had fish & chips and peppered chicken with mash. Fish was gigantic with a very generous portion of chunky chips both very tasty. The chicken also very tasty with lovely creamy mash with perfectly cooked carrots - no overcooked veg here! Opted for a French red wine which was only £10 and it was really nice, fruity & soft - very easy to drink. All in all a very nice meal in lovely, relaxed surroundings. Will I be back? Definitely.

“Steaks are fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012 via mobile

We have now had a few meals in Mondo and every time the have been great. The staff are very nice and helpful and the food is excellent as well as good value. Our most recent meal only cost £75 for 2 x starters, 2 x fillet steaks, 1 x desert a bottle of wine and a bottle of water. The steaks are the best we have had in a long time and perfectly cooked. I would fully recommend a visit.

“Excellent food, service, decor!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant was busy when we entered but we where greeted at the door and taken directly to our seats. We had an intimate table at the very back. Straight off you notice how lovely the decor is. Our waitress took our drinks order which was with us within minutes. The service all night was impeccable, we didn't wait long for anything even though the place was getting busier. The staff where all very friendly, polite and helpful. The menu was their festive menu and the selection was excellent with something for everyone. We started with the haggis pakora and the garlic mushrooms which where outstanding. Followed with the chicken with whiskey sauce and steak pie. I had to leave some of the steak pie due to the size of the portions being large - but that is never a complaint! After a short rest we shared the wild berry cheesecake which was very light and delicious. I would go back here in a heartbeat and have raved about our experience ever since. Perfect for couples, groups and families.
