“Terrific place to stay!”

We just returned from 2 nights in the Wildbird at Jasmers. I have not enjoyed a place like this in a long time! The owner was out when we arrived, but called to say that she would leave the key in the door for us. Everything was sparkling clean and extremely comfortable. They provide a very nice gas grill just outside the door and we took advantage of it both nights. There is also extra food for the birds, in case they do not get the feeder refilled early enough. There was snow both mornings and it was great to have coffee and watch the birds thru the huge bay window, while we sat by the fire. As a bonus, there was a herd of elk in the open field across the road. We will definitely return to Jasmers and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at the Tahoma Villa cabin (which was actually a small house). It was amazing, there was a private hot tub in the deck, we were surrounded by nature and close to Mt. Rainier. The house was stocked with everything imaginable. There were three beds, one soft, one medium firmness and one firm. The wood stove was romantic and heated the cabin nicely. Even the little things like tin-foil were in the cabinet.

You only need to pack your clothes, there are two mini grocery stores near by, the kitchen has pots & pans plus there is a BBQ.

Tana and Luke (the owners) have thought of everything including a variety of movies to watch and games to play!

You will not be disappointed. We loved it!!

Went up for a romantic "mini" vacation. The Rainier Retreat was sooo romantic. Private nice hot tub. Perfect for a couple to relax and get away from the world. We went up to the park and enjoyed the breath taking sites of the mountain. I will be back!!!!!!

“Quiet and Relaxing”

Jasmer's at Mt. Rainier

We spent 2 wonderful days in the Rainier Retreat Cabin, it was a little small but the Hot Tub made up for it. It was quiet, and we just relaxed. It was nice to be away from the city and just hang out. We are already planning to return in a few months this time with friends and are going to try another cabin.

My fiance and I stayed two nights in the Bird's Nest. The Tanner's (the owners) are wonderful and friendly. The room was very, small but everything was arranged so well that it did not feel cramped at all. There was a TV with VCR, a radio and alarm, microwave, fridge, toaster, places to hang jackets, lugguge slid right under the bed, there was a little table and cup board stocked with everything (cups, coffee, sugar, forks, knives, bowls, spoons, coffee maker, can opener) and they even had creamer in the fridge and some snacks such as nutrigrain bars. We took one on the first day and when we came back there were additional snacks. The bathroom was also nice with a shower stall, plenty of room to put things and also had dish soap to wash our dishes and bug spray! We didn't think we would need bug spray for some reason and ended up being completely wrong and thankfully there was some in the room. There is a general store nearby that has everything you could need. The restaurants in Ashford close pretty early so when we left the park around 9 we just stopped at the general store bought some groceries and came back and made dinner in our room. For how small our room was it was so well-equipped and it did not even feel cramped! Plus the bed was so comfortable after a long day of hiking. We tried the shared jacuzzi one night since there was an hour opening at 10 pm (there is a sign up board just outside and you share the jacuzzi with the other 3 rooms). You just write your name in an hour timeslot and the jacuzzi is yours for the hour. It was very relaxing! The park entrance is just a few miles down the road so it was very convenient and the drive from Seattle was very easy and it was not hard to find Jasmer's at all. No internet or cellphone coverage reaches here. Not even verizon. I have a verizon wireless card for my laptop that works everywhere and there was no signal here, no internet in the room and no signal for cell phones which was great because none of my fiance's employees were able to call him or email him with fires needing to be put out, which is what happens everytime he takes a day off. It was great to be unreachable. I didn't tell him this until we were on our way so he couldn't do anything. Just be warned that we were hiking at Paradise and suddenly he got reception at the high altitude and all of the text messages and voicemails came pouring in, which we didn't expect. My advice: keep the phones turned off. This was a great, homey and cozy place to stay, the owner's are great and the price was so much better than what the other places were charging at that time of year. We will definitely stay here again.
