“This is nice venu for a concert. Great acoustics, yet not too large.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Even the "cheap" seats are fine, The concerts we have heard have all been enjoyable and more intimate than the larger arenas.

“Great Theater - and leg room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

I love this theater - the prices are good, the local restaurants are great, the selection of entertainers is broad, and the seats have good leg room - the leg room keeps us going there.

“Master's of Illusion”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Wife and I went to see this show recently on a Saturday evening. We live nearby so being able to drive and get in/out quickly compared to going to NYC is a real bonus, even though the City has so much more to offer (and, of course, is much more expensive).

The theater has been refurbished in recent years when it was called the Community Theater and is really very nice. The seats are very comfortable and beer and wine is available for purchase in the lobby. The sound system is also very good. Parking is available at several locations within a few blocks nearby .

The Master's of Illusion show was pretty good overall although some of it was silly. For example, a magician trying to escape from a straight jacket. The best acts were provided by magician Rick Thomas who also has a very entertaining stage presence in interacting with the crowd. He does a levitation act involving first his female assistant and then himself which is spectacular and bewildering. Magician Michael Giles and his wife were also very good.

We will be back to the Mayo Theater for another entertaining evening.

“Concerts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

A great change of pace rather than driving into the city for a concert. There's not a bad seat in the house.

“Great venue and show selection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We just saw our second show in our subscription for this season. This is the first season we decided to get a subscription because we found a great selection of shows from concerts to political satire to dance, all at great prices! It' particularly helpful when it's cold outside and we don't feel like heading into Manhattan to catch a show. Morristown is a great place to have dinner and catch a show. The parking garage behind the theater fills up quickly, so get there a little early - 30 mins. to get a spot. Checkout the theater's website for additional parking.
