“Delightful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

Our 4 night stay at Shrublands Farm was everything we could have wished for: warm welcome, friendly and helpful attention & very high standards. Our attractively furnished en suite room was spacious, very comfortable and, of course, spotless. Splendid farmhouse breakfast in the lovely dining room.
Northrepps is a quiet and peaceful village near the coast with a good dining pub a very short walk from the farm.

We stayed at Shrublands Farm for two nights, the accomodation was first class, in every way, comfortable rooms with good clean facilities and of course good farmhouse breakfasts. There are lots of interesting places to visit, excellent beaches are on the doorstep, and the large bungalow would certainly suit a family holiday.
If we are in the area for a stay we will certainly endeavor to book again.

Traditional Farmhouse B & B quietly situated near to the Norfolk Coast at Cromer. We were shown to our room and offered a jug of fresh milk which was most welcoming as we were ready for a fresh cup of tea! The room was pristine clean as well as the private bathroom across the hallway. We were glad of the bathrobe that was provided! Lots of hot water for a nice relaxing bath in the enormous antique bath tub. The pocket sprung super king bed was the most comfortable bed we have had in a B & B. We had a wonderful farm house breakfast with fresh pineapple, fruit compote, followed by a full English breakfast of local sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomato and egg. No wonder a Visit Britain Breakfast Award has been achieved! Unfortunately no internet access is available.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2009

We stayed at one of the three B&B rooms at Shrublands Farm for one night in August 2009. Having previously stayed in farmstay accommodation, we knew what we were letting ourselves in for: a place in the sticks, old-fashioned decor (you know the ones which make you think Miss Marple might just come round the corner), a hearty breakfast and some farm animals and machinery - the works. And this is how it was, more or less. The farm was easy to find, just outside nearby Cromer and not far from the local pub, as described by the owner on the phone when me made our booking. The welcome was not overly friendly when we arrived in the evening, but was pleasant enough. Our room was dominated by a blue flower theme and the separate bathroom right opposite featured a bathroom suite in antique pink. Unfortunately, the over-bath shower was more like a trickle and would have benefitted from a pump. The bed was very comfy and we made extensive use of the tea and coffee making facilities. Thankfully, the room also had a tv. My husband had a cooked breakfast (egg, ham, sausage, black pudding & mushrooms, but no baked beans) and I helped myself to muesli from the buffet. Shame we weren't offered the porridge before we started breakfast and which we noticed later was also an option. Coffee was excellent. We didn't really notice any farming activities – no mooing cows, loud milking machines or combine harvesters as we had experienced in other farm accommodations, just a tractor being driven around. At £32 per person we were very happy with this B&B and have no hesitation to recommend it. We also liked nearby Mundesley Beach with its lovely collection of colourful beach huts and we would recommend you go there if you have the time.
