“Full of character”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We turned up to No. 4 without making a reservation. The owner welcomed us like friends and was happy to find us a room. The entire house was full of interesting and quirky objects that gave it real character and a cosy feel. The full English breakfast was also very satisfying the next morning. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

From the moment we arrived Stuart made us feel like old friends. He made us feel so welcome and the 'little extras' that he supplied made such a difference. Stuart is such a fantastic host and his sense of humour made it such a memorable stay. He also has very good knowledge of the locality and we took his advice on where to go and where to eat much to our pleasure. The breakfasts were fantastic and they truly kept us going for the whole of the day. We would not hesitate to recommend Stuart or his home to any of our friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Having dropped the car off at No 4 on Saturday evening we returned four days later having walked the 47 miles that form the Norfolk Coastal Path to spend a final night with the wonderful Stuart in his extraordinarily rich and welcoming home. Stuart all but scooped us up in his arms and assured us he would look after us. His welcome was so warm. He took us to our room where wonderfully fresh doughnuts awaited us, he showed us where everything could be found to make our stay a memorable one.
The Full English Breakfast and 'doorstep' toast was simply to die for and was served at a large breakfast table.
No 4 is different; it would be a shame to reveal some of the delights it holds to those who haven't yet had the privilege to visit.
Stuart is a very sensitive, funny and caring man whose aim is to provide his guests with a truly memorable stay and this was most certainly the case for us

Room Tip: We stayed in a twin room with wet room. Perfect for us but other types of room/suites are available

I wish we could truly explain to you how wonderful No.4 is!! From the great big smiles when we arrived to the warm hug as we left we cannot fault one thing!!! The small touches mean the world and from the sticks of rock on our pillow, a congratulations card for our wedding to cakes brought to us for afternoon tea we truly believe this is the best accommodation that we have stayed at worldwide. Stuart is the essence of everything wonderful in the world, his great sense of humour and brilliant hospitality really make you feel like you've stepped into a friends home. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfast was awesome and left you really full up all day. Thank you so so much for making our honeymoon that extra bit special. Four stars??? You need an extra one just for Stuart alone!!!!!

Just come back from another brilliant stay with Stuart at Number 4. As ever the room was great with lots more 'goodies' to see, amazing breakfast and the fabulous company of Stuart. If you are ever in Cromer, this is the place to stay... Enjoy !

A brilliant b&b great location, lovely rooms, Stuart couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Comfy beds a large selection of CDs DVDs and books in the room, a gorgeous roll top bath all topped off with a top cooked breakfast with lots of coffee, will defiantly go back and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in cromer.

What a fabulous place. We would highly recommend this unique bed and breakfast. Stuart makes you so welcome, a real cheeky chappie who is very quick with the one-liners and cooks a wicked breakfast. The place is stuffed full of the weird and wonderful, it's like staying in a museum. With sticks of Cromer rock on our pillows, and a couple of muffins on the table, we quickly settled in - and having fresh milk is always a bonus, in the fridge on the landing (next to Gertrude) where we could stash our own goodies. Shame there isn't a place like this, and a Stuart of course, in every town! Thanks for making our 3 nights in Cromer most memorable.

Room Tip: The Blue Room has an en-suite wet room, so I suppose you could sit on the loo and have a shower at t...
