Hi, We booked the night before we left but i still had time to read reviews and if you are thinking the bad reviews are from people who are used to all inc. in Spain and not used to Turkey "thats why the reviews are as bad I told the wife" DONT IGNORE THE REVIEWS THIS HOTEL IS THE WORST HOTEL ON EARTH.THIS IS THE DIRTIEST MOST DISGUSTING FOOD ON EARTH.the walls in our room were also covered in mould.we never got towels for 2 days. The only good thing was the Air con.We took the food the first day then had a look the second day and decided not to bother. When i tried to get a vodka and fanta for my wife i was told they only had Cola you know the rola cola you get for 5p a bottle and it was roasting. We ate out and Drank out and made the most of our holiday but i would not send a dog to stay in this Hostel as it is DISGUSTING.

I booked it, last minute. through Teletext online, via Holiday Experts, going with Goldtrail to Ovacik, Hisaronu, Turkey, to the Olive Garden Hotel. The holiday was for all-inclusive including flights, transfer, food and drink.

Our plane arrived on time at Dalaman airport. We collected our luggage and went outside to find the Goldtrail rep . . . and we (and many more holiday-makers) waited and waited but there were no reps to be found. After about 15 minutes a few of us rang Goldtrail in Turkey and soon after they appeared!

Upon arrival at our hotel we discovered we were not expected! The rep didn't go in with us and I had to convince them myself we had booked a room. I eventually persuaded them we we're bone fide Goldtrail customers and we had paid for all-inclusive. They then 'found' us on their system and proceeded to tell us our room was being 'repaired' and we would have to go to their sister hotel situated next door. Our room would be ready for us the following day after 12 noon. I don't believe for one second the room was under repair, I believe we were double-booked and someone else was already in our accommodation. Reluctantly we agreed to go into the sister hotel for one night. This was an inconvenience for we were unable to fully unpack our bags and relax.

That night we had our dinner in the Olive Garden's 'restaurant' - I use the term loosely for it was no more than a building with a bar and a few tables, with more tables dotted about outside. The meal was very poor consisting mainly of salad, some very watery and tasteless soup, and two very suspect meat dishes - I had to ask what they were for they looked like roadkill and not at all appetising. We also tried to get a few glasses of beer into ourselves but the bar had just one beer tap and it worked intermittently and very very slowly. We eventually drank bottled drinks, these being the only type of drinks the bar could cope with.

In the morning we had planned to have breakfast and then laze by the pool until our room had been 'repaired'. Alas, things didn't go that well. Breakfast was much like dinner except there seemed to be a added delicacy . . . wasps! They not only buzzed us while we sat and ate, but they also helped themselves to the breakfast buffet. Several people actually spooned wasps onto their plates without even noticing them!

Every single sunbed around the pool was already 'reserved' by towels thus making it impossible for anyone who didn't rise when the Imam called for 5 o' clock prayers to get one. In fact I think many of them - if not all - were left in situ overnight! After a dismal breakfast of boiled eggs and bread (the wasps were unable to penetrate the shells of the eggs so they remained uncontaminated by wasp [--] and spit, but the bread - for the most part - had been mauled by the bare hands of those guests too stupid or uncaring to use the tongs provided), we went to Reception to ask if we could see our room. We were already under-impressed by the dining and lazing-about-the-pool half of our holiday and we wanted to see if the room reached the same low standards already set. We were told we couldn't see it because it was still being 'repaired' but the 'repairs' would be finished after 12 noon . . . which, coincidentally, is check-out time!

Really peed off by now we went into Hisaronu and found ourselves alternative accommodation, returned to the Olive Garden, picked up our luggage and escaped. We were accosted by the lady from Reception who seemed to be offended by the fact that we didn't like the hotel, its food or its pool area. I can't imagine she could be offended by an honest opinion, but she was.

When we were (very comfortably ensconced in our new hotel my wife rang Goldtrail to tell them we had fled the Olive Garden and we wouldn't be availing ourselves of its superb facilities and excellent food and drink (this is me taking the [--]) and we wouldn't be returning there, not even for the transfer back to Dalaman. The woman at Goldtrail refused to take my wife's mobile number and insisted upon having our hotel's number instead . . . . but it was waste of time giving it to her for she never rang it!

For your information the Olive Garden hotel is in fact three hotels cobbled together and separated by a road that runs between one third and two thirds of the 'hotel' complex. The middle third seems to be the original establishment for within its grounds (such as they are) is housed the accommodation block (approx 20 double rooms), the 'restaurant', bar and pool. The other two thirds consist of one of a block of 56 double rooms and the other of 6 self-catering rooms accommodating up to six persons in each. On its own the original 'hotel' and its facilities might just accommodate the number of guests it can house - but when you add to it the other two accommodation blocks, then there simply is no room at all.

I feel cheated that I have paid for an all-inclusive holiday in a 'hotel' complex that could not accommodate the amount of people checked in. It was over crowded and of very poor quality. If this is typical of Goldtrail's Turkish holidays then I will be going out of my way to tell as many people as I can not to use them. Unless of course they enjoy having to share their facilities with more than twice the number of people the complex is designed to accommodate.

Have just been to the Olive Garden and it is NOT on the beach and does NOT have beach views - its up a mountain!!!!!!!!!! If you go down the town be willing to either walk up a hill that does not look to steep but by the time you get to the top you are knackered or get a taxi. Thank god we went self catering as the All-inclusive guests were all complaining about the food - salads galore (with the added extra of flies), birds nesting in the dining-room and if you were lucky fish fingers/chicken nuggets for tea (including the adults). You need to pay for pool and table tennis (5ytl for 1 hour), £3 for air conditioning if you are self catering and for the slide it was switched on and off all day. Yilmaz (manager) closed the swimming pool at about 6pm, if you complained he was very rude and arrogant to you and as for the sexual advances by some members of staff do not send young girls there alone!!!!!!!!!! Younger members of staff very friendly but did not speak much english. Rooms were cleaned, if you can call it that daily, sheets/towels changed every 3 days if you were lucky. Either use it as a base and go self catering or do not go there at all.

Stayed at Olive Garden Hotel June 27th and thank god it was only for one week, the food is not kept refrigerated and is open to the birds nesting in the roof . you get plenty of salad so if you dont like your greens dont go All Inclusive unless you like fish fingers and chicken nuggets and spaghetti with nothing to go with it, In our opinion this is totally unacceptable and has put us off going All Inclusive, but we did manage to stay the week unlike some others who only lasted 2 days. I will definately not be going back to this hotel. We had to eat out every night and found that local restaurants were fantastic value in the right places with entertainment to match by the owners.

Hotel- 3/5
Room was basic but clean. Towels and bedding changed twice in a week but bedding didn't fit the bed! Excellent air conditioning.

There is a small pool with a waterslide but it is enough for the amount of people it accommodates for. There is a pooltable (payable!) and table tennis.

At night, they had killer pool, a quiz or bingo.

Food and Drink- 3/5
Food started ok although I was shocked when I first seen the spread (I'm used to large all inclusive hotels with huge dining areas!). This one was part of the bar area. The choice was very limited- just 2 starters and 3 main meals to chose from with salad/ chips/ rice, etc.

The desserts were few and far between- some nights they had none. It didn't bother me as I do not eat them but a lot of people were complaining.

Drinks were very good. We were served pints of Efes (top lager) in glasses! No plastic cups. Spirits were good measures and they had the branded mixers (Fanta, Coca Cola, etc).

Staff- 2/5
It was a bit of a mixture on this one. Some of the staff were ok, some were rude and ignorant. The receptionist (an English girl) would be listening to you and then walk off to deal with someone else mid conversation! Service staff were friendly and the new manager (the old one was sacked recently) was a top man and let us off a few times when we were loud.

Area- 4/5
We thought it was a joke when we were dropped off- it is literally half way up a mountain. It is a good walk to the main town but there are plenty of bars on the way down. Beer prices ranged from £1 per pint in the small bars to £2 in the clubs. We had a really good night out in the Karaoke bars and nightclubs.

There were plenty of trips to choose from although we were sent to the wrong waterpark in Calis- DO NOT GO THERE- it was awful. We had booked to go to the one in Okavic but were sent to the other!

Overall, we paid hardly anything as it was last-minute so cannot complain about what we got for our money. I would advise people to go there but wouldn't pay more than £200-250pp for a week. We went there to get drunk and we certainly did! If you want somewhere with all inclusive activities, etc, I would not advise this hotel.

the food is pathetic, wouldnt feed it to the animals, staff are brill, but the hotels a disgrace,it went from only 6 people in to over booking, rooms small 1 little wardrobe for 3 adults 1 change of bed cloths in 2 weeks after i had demanded them to be changed.there was swallows nesting in the eating area, hence people being poorly as they were doing there droppings on people.no good complaining becouse nothing gets done, only seen our rep 3 times in two weeks,he never had a complaints form, and dont exspect to be greeted off the plain by him he wont be there,,never again, its 25 mins walk down to the centre where theres plenty going on,but its up the mountain so taxis back cost 8 to 15 lira depending on times, best thing is you can buy any food you like at a cost and its not cheap, but on the all inc its rubbish, and if your not at the bar at 10,45 you will have to pay.short measures untill 11,anyway if you want a good holiday dont go to this hotel,or youl wish you were back home

My boyfriend and I booked flights, accommodation, and transfers with ES Travel in London, who are affiliated to the hotel.

First impressions were not great as the hotel forgot to pick us up from the airport, and we were stuck there for hours until finally getting a taxi. Luckily one of the hotel staff was waiting for us upon arrival and paid the bill!!!

We found some of the staff friendly and others a little rude at times but the people staying at the hotel made up for that.

The food was slightly samey but it was only a short walk to Hisoranou where there was a little more choice.

The room was average and comfortable and we found it adequate.

We booked our excursions from Ali G from Papirus Travel in Hisoranou and were not disappointed.

Overall we really enjoyed our holiday in Turkey and would certainly go back, but maybe not to this batcheloresque style of hotel, although they did try their best!
