“wonderful restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We ate here twice in a five night trip to Hisaronu - and totally agree with all the positive comments- the hospitality is amazing, the food and setting both lovely and everyone is so friendly and interesting. Don't miss it - a real contrast to some of the neon lit fast food places on the main street!!

“You Wont Be Disappointed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We had a meal at Yengec last night , with friends Peter and Marion, who highly recommended we should eat there.
They should know having Lived in Ovacik for a number of years.
What a hidden gem, no Duff Duff music with one bar trying to out blast another. A very peaceful quite atmosphere with a real home from home feel.
The food is outstanding, fresh local ingredients cooked to perfection. I had the seafood pancake for starters a really interesting dish that is a must have. Kerry had the Sea Bream which she said couldn't of been cooked any better. The real treat was the mashed potatoes, just like your granny used to cook..If nothing else you need to eat here just for them. For pudd we had HOME MADE sticky toffee pudding..MMMmmmmm...
The real surprise was the bill.. excellent value for money..
YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED
Thanks for a great evening. We will definitely be back. Martin and Kerry

“Superb food and service from lovely hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012 via mobile

Our family visited the Yengec following a recommendation from a fellow customer at the hotel we were staying. We visited to make a booking and bumped into someone from where we live (small world). He could not speak highly enough of the food and the owners. When we returned for the meal it was everything we were promised. The quality of the food was top notch and although we always enjoy the food in Turkey, it was refreshing to see a menu with some imagination and variance. Price wise, yes it was a little more expensive than most other places but this was the perfect example of you get what you pay for. Next year we will go earlier to make sure we get in more than once during our holiday.

“A true dining experience.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

We found out about this hotel/restaurant from a Turkish friend who highly recommended it but did warn us that it was difficult to get booked in as it was so popular. It just so happened that Hussayin the maintenance manager of the apartment we were staying in was a member of the family who own Yengec. What luck eh?
He phoned us later that day and told us when we were booked in and even came to pick us up as my elderly mother was with us.
We discovered Yengec was a lovely little boutique hotel, with tables round the pool, beautiful surroundings, we had the table for the night, and best of all the food. We certainly were not disappointed, as well as the normal menu there was also a chalkboard with another six each of starters, mains, and desserts which is brought to your table and thoroughly described to you by Lucy.
The service was excellent with very friendly staff and indeed we cannot fault this experience in any way. We even tried to go back for another evening during our holiday but unfortunately it was fully booked.
This was in July, but my wife, some friends, and myself did manage to have another great night at Yengec when we were back in October. It's also a nice stroll back into Hisaronu to walk off your dinner, believe me you'll need to as you can't help having three courses.
