“The Super Breakfast for 13TL.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Before we went out exploring the area for the day, four of us had the Super Breakfast to start us off. We were not disappointed. Lovely bacon, sausage etc with coffee and orange juice. The two guys we saw really welcomed us, and couldn't have been better hosts. We haven't been to some cheaper eateries as the food we have had twice now, has been first class, and then we don't need to eat till supper time. Thanks to all at this great place.

“Kings Arms what a place to escape the AI”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We were staying at an all inclusive and fancied a change. The Kings Arms may sound English but they do the most delicious Turkish food. Bob (I think Hyar) and Mehmet were just great and we met the small dog and the delightful daughter. The first night we went we ordered Octopus but as we did not eat creamy sauces they sautéed it in Garlic and it was so tasty we had to go back again for more a couple of nights later. For those of you who have never tried Octopus then you should as it is tender and a bit like eating a bit of chicken/fish that is really yummy. The calamari also is a dream and how they get it so tender with the batter so light I would like to know.
We also sampled the mixed Meze for two as a starter. Now just to warn you this is a huge dish for around £10 and includes so many things unless you have a big appetite do not need much more to eat.
There was stuffed mushrooms, cheese pastries, houmous, tsatiki, a chilli tomato mix, stuffed vine leaves AND MORE.
A meal in itself and absolutely fabulous.
However if you are a burger and chip person or a pizza they also do other dishes that may suit your palate.
We were intrigued about the dish on the next table which came out in a large tagine looking pot with a pastry crust and was cut and served at the table with meat filling. We forgot to ask what it was called but it looked and smelt delicious.
Bob and Mehmet are so welcoming and took care of us and I think the owner was there too one night. A welcome change from All Inclusive to sit and be looked after and eat such delightful food and fresh too.
Not to knock the AI as it was very good too but it is serve yourself.

“Great Turkish Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

Despite the English sounding name, this restaurant and its sister right next door served a wealth of choices of excellent traditional Turkish dishes. Like many restaurants in Ovacik its right next to the main road, but seating is far enough away for the traffic noise not to be a bother. Service was good, you need to get used to the normal way in the more traditional restaurants that the main waiter takes the order and places the food, the more junior waiters ( often the younger kids in the family) are only allowed to fetch , carry and wait for the senior waiter to do the serving to the customer. Both red and white house wines were decent and overall pricing was good. There are plenty of good places to eat in Ovacik and in Olu Deniz, but this was the only restaurant we visited more than once to eat in our 2 weeks stay so recommended.

“My favourite restaurant in Ovacik”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

The food at the King Arms is just fabulous, no problem getting a table and the surroundings in the quiet area are so lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they even made me a dish that was not actually on the menu. We loved it so much we ended up visiting most nights during our stay with no disappointments, some nights we just called in for a drink. I have been visiting this restaurant for 5 years now and the service and food is always excellent, in particular the manager and owner are very friendly and helpful and always remember me from previous years. This Is definitely still my favourite restaurant to eat in Ovacik.
