“First Class Accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2011

We stayed at this hotel for four nights at the end of October on an all-inclusive basis and had a great time. The service was excellent, the buffet offered a wide variety of lovely food and the room was spacious and clean with wide, comfortable beds (being end-of-season, we were given a suite with fantastic sea-views). The only complant we had was that we couldn't eat outside the restaurant when the hotel's generator was running because it was so noisy - but that one negative point seems insignificant when set against all the positives... highly recommended.

Room Tip: From what we could see, all the rooms have a balcony and sea view, but there are four suites (with b...

Returned on 27th Oct. Could not agree more with the previous reviews so i'm not going to repeat what has been written already but will add to it. All really is that good.
The beds and pillows are the comfiest we have ever had in a hotel and smelt so fresh too.
The only negative is that the pool is very small, their was only 30 guests in the hotel while we were there and we could still not get a sunbed in the sun, although the beach is so near it really wasn't a problem.
I only found one receptionist grumpy, the one with long hair was lovely.
You CAN get English bacon in some restaurants in Icmeler infact a full english was only the equivilant to £1.80, we did go there once for a quick fix!
Can recommend Netto 2 (to the left of the hotel) we were getting 2.85 exchange rate.
Went on a fantaic boat trip (Gringo is his name, wears a bandana) on the left over the canal on the seafront, also water taxis go from there.
For clothes The Greenhouse (next to The Lighthouse restaurant) can recommend for clothes, they do alterations for free, excellant prices, no need to barter.
The transfere was far too long, in a taxi it's 1hr20mins, from leaving our hotel to get to the airport it took 3hours, too much hanging around and stopping for a 'rest'. Would certainly book a taxi next time.
So if your going I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Icmeler is a lovely resort to stay in something to suit all and what a wonderful hotel. I want to see it in the top 5 next year, they deserve it!

Room Tip: you can request a suite which is much larger our room was a squeeze for 3.

We stayed at this lovely small and very friendly hotel and what a great time we had . ALL the staff .Except for the two female recepition staff who were rude ,are friendly and very helpful after the first day we were greeted by our first names and loooked after very well. It as only 64 rooms ,16 on each floor ,10 stanard, 6 suites. most with walk in showers some baths. They are very clean... cleaners work very hard and it shows . It has a lift . Pool towels are supplied at 20 Tlr returnable dep .we did not know this and was not informed when we arrived so thank you to the Georgies from room 402 who kinkly gave use their towels. It as only a small area around pool. There is a small restaurant serving food .It is good quality but please remember it is a muslim country and you will not get bacon etc. my only comment it could be hotter. If you want mega choices its not for you. It is 50 mtrs from beach and it is a lovely beach, swimming is great ,sunbeds are good and free . I would advise you not to book trips off James on prom as he is a rip off and does not deliver what he sells.! I agree with other guests as it is small you have to make your own entertainment but Ash was a laugh ! i had a meeting with the manager Bulant and we discussed a few problems other guests were having and wrote them down and they WOULD be seen to over the winter . He told me the hotel was a work in progress.New owners this year . We are looking forward to going back next year as we still feel after a week at home we have had a good holiday. PLEASE let there be new reception staff as that was was the only down fall.1 little tip for the wasps and bees wear Avon blue dry body oil best insect repellant out works all over the world !!!!!!! A special thanks to Michael and Dorothy Letcher who we meet when we arrived and put us on the right track. John (Barat) ,Memet, Icut(mr Quick), Maria(our cleaner), Acmed,Bulant and Yoseft see you next year and to all the great people we chatted to. Believe me i talked to nearly every one. Keep the FAITH

Room Tip: all have a/c. high floors hve good vews rooms . rooms over the reception do not get so much noice f...

An absolutely fantastic holiday. on our arrival we were greeted by very pleasent receptionists. a porter took our luggage to our suite and showed us where everything was, We then came down for a well needed drink at the bar after travelling nearly all day to be met by our very special barstaff Ferdi and Mehmet thanks guys. The food was more than acceptable, ( if you are only used to meat and two veg then this is clearly not for you) it is traditional turkish quisine that could not be faulted and it was plentiful. I experienced the turkish in the hotel too and the hairdressers, both were briiliant and very relaxing. Everything was cleaned and well maintained and we understand after talking to the owner that there is plenty more to come so will be looking forward to going back. also made some great friends there. Have to just mention the guys at the Bamboo Beach Bar in front of the hotel too they do the best coffee, hi Mehmet. We would like thank all the staff at the hotel for making us feel so welcome and relaxed. Omer, Ferdi, Mehmet (thrush) haha, Emja, Beret, Mithat and all those we've failed to mention. WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Beacause the rooms are only on 3 sides all views are lovely

Just had 2 weeks at this lovely hotel.our experience here was faultless, the hotel is very clean our room was a suite and the towels and bedding were changed everyday. The staff were brilliant ,thanks to John,Ferdi and Matt and of course Ash who made our stay there so enjoyable!Met some lovely people ,Janet and Rick Fred and Cath ,and the Barnsley Crew!.The food was good and well presented and we never needed to eat out .The views from this hotel are breathtaking ,right on the beach but the pool area and bar in the hotel was enough for us.Will definately return to this hotel, good value for money in a lovely resort ..

Room Tip: The suite had 3 balconys all with a sea view !

Have just returned from fortuna beach the hotel is very clean and the cleaners work very hard, the standard rooms are quite small but we upgraded to a suite and that was lovely. The bar staff work really hard and are always very friendly and helpful thanks Matt and Ferdi. The entertainment was very limited The Turkish night was quite good and we had a Michael Jackson turn which consisted of two songs and lasted roughly ten minutes perfomed by Ash to be frank it was the most I saw him do his entertainment consisted of talking to people drinking coffee and calling everyone man and complaining he was in a nursing home. Now the bad unfortunatley our friend was taken ill in the early hours of Saturday morning his wife had already had an upset the night before as her father had been rushed to hospital in England she rang our room at 5 in the morning to say her husband was very ill the lovely man on the desk called an ambulance and tried to help as much as possible we followed the ambulance and he was admitted to hospital we stayed with him until he was admitted to a ward and then felt we should leave him to rest and go back to the hotel for a shower and bite to eat after we had sorted ourselves out we went to reception and asked Ecem the most rude unhelpful ignorant receptionist I've ever met to call us a taxi she asked us the name of the hospital in all the drama at 5.30 we didn't know the name my friend was very distressed and said could you name the local hospitals as we might recognise it she couldn't understand us apparentley and was very dismissive fortunatley my husband knew it. our problems continued as we were not sure if our friend would be able to fly home we asked Miss Helpful if she could call our rep to try and sort things out and was told the number was on the wall by this time my friend was very upset both Matt and Ferdi tried their best to comfort her and said they would help her. We did complain to the manager who seemed in a world of his own. Fortunatley our friends did manage to get home but the whole experience left a very bitter taste in our mouth. .We had the lots of support from the other holiday makers but none from the hotel apart from the bar staff. We met a lot of nice people there Andrena and Malcolm were lovely company but I don't think I would ever go back.

Room Tip: Try to get a suite

just returned after 10 days and although the hotel rooms are very nice , we had a party of 2 couples, who were booked into 2 standard rooms were told at reception that they had a problem with overbooking therefore we would have to share a family room . This consisted of
1 bedroom and a room with a sofa bed in the sitting area. This is not in my opinion adequate for people in their 50's but only suitable for children. We complained about this at the time only to be told we had no choice and we would have another room in 3 days time. After hearing us at reception a man said that the week before this same thing had happened to him but he did get the room after the 3 days we also did get our other room after the 3 days. We know of about 6 other parties in the 10 days we were there that this same thing had happened. Apart from that problem, the rooms were lovely , food not too bad, but we are very choosy eaters. Bar staff Ferdie and Matt very very good and friendly. Ash the head of entertainment (the only one) was friendly enough but just seemed to chat , eat and drink, no entertainment to speak of. Look out for the wasps as about 10 people were stung while we were there and they dont buzz so you dont know they are there until its too late. Rooms very clean and towels changed daily.
