We've stayed in the Navy Hotel many times & have always found the staff to be courteous and obliging. The rooms are of a decent standard but not luxurious & are cleaned daily by very fastidious staff, the arrangements of your towels etc on the beds when they've finished are quite ingenious.
The chef is a character unto himself, his meals are always spot on & breakfast is so much more than you get at several other hotels in this range; various omelets & pancakes, either sweet or savoury, together with fresh local bread & a variety of cold meats & salad vegetables.
The environs of the hotel are attractive & quiet with very little interference from neighbouring establishments, whilst at the same time being central to most of the entertainment. The beach is a very short walk away from the hotel, around 2 minutes if you're fit or 4 minutes for the likes of me and the wife.
We've stayed at the hotel eight times so far & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who enjoys a laid back experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the old part of the hotel as it has a lift to all floors. There are family rooms...

We stayed for ten nights in early September and these are my observations of that time.
We booked a promo room thinking it was a special offer but we found out on arrival that it was a room at the top of the hotel with no air conditioning fair enough we don't always get air conditioning but the room had several sloping points in the roof that I kept banging into as I am 6'2" and we had to walk around bent over .We asked for a change of room which they allowed but this cost us a extra £36 as air con must be built into the cost of other rooms but at this time of year we didn't really use it.There is one other thing I think should be pointed out there is no shower room if you are leaving later in the day and to keep your room on till 5pm costs £20 or £25 till 10pm .
The hotel is clean and the rooms while not very big are fine, the cleaner came every day but it was just a tickle round and change towels .We had a problem with the flush on the toilet and the socket at side of bed did not work we reported them and was told their technical team would see to them, after 4 hrs we again reported it and was told the same again.Later that day we found the toilet had been fixed by the cleaner and it was ok after that but she didn't know much about electrics so that never was attended to.
The breakfasts were good especially if you liked eggs ,you could have them fried, scrambled ,omelettes ,pancakes, but there was plenty of other stuff as well but it finished at 9.30.
The pool area had lots of sun beds but you have to make a choice to sunbathe in morning or afternoon as the sun changes position the shade moves from one side to the other and the sun beds are really crammed in,never saw the pool cleaned while we were there.
In conclusion while the hotel seems to lack any atmosphere it's not a bad hotel and it's position in the town is good. The points I made earlier are not to decry the hotel for the charges but for people's information .

Small, very friendly hotel. Rooms in the main hotel were of a good standard, fairly basic but clean. I stayed for two weeks in September 2014. Ideal relaxing hotel for adults. The depth of the swimming pool was just right for me, at 5'4. The pool area had a nice snack bar and comfortable seats. The amount of sunbeds were adequate for the size of the pool. The beach is within easy walking distance. The bar area had comfortable seating. The barman was always polite and friendly. There was a good selection of food at breakfast. The restaurant staff were friendly and cleared the tables promptly. I would recommend a choice of herbal tea and melon, but that is a personal preference. There was enough choice for two weeks. i would probably stay on a bed and breakfast basis next time, as there are so many nice places to eat within easy walking distance. Eating out is very reasonable. I would recommend the Waterfall restaurant, nice setting for a special occasion.Overall, I very much enjoyed staying at the Hotel Navy and would like to return.

My shoulders are still aching after a week ! ! the beds are very hard and cheap, returned home in pain and exhausted. The room doors require to be slammed shut for locking so this carries on to 3am and starts from 7am everyday. No "DO NOT DISTURB" signs are available so maids are heard knocking on doors then simply let themselves in with very little warning, everyday ! ! The maid then leaves begging letters for tips. Air-con at £75 for two weeks, that doesn't work correctly is far too expensive. A safe at £24 is also too much. Breakfast although ok finishing at 9.30am is too early, after all are we not on holiday ? The hotel evening meals are worst than school dinners. Deserts were cleared away at 9pm before we had finished our mains, although we were kept waiting 45 minutes ! The drinks in the bar were the most expensive in town and served by the most moody, rude barman in town. Pool area is small with sunbeds touching each other, only six of them are in the sun through-out the afternoon. The reception staff are un-helpfull, any special requests made prior to arrival are ignored. Icmeler is such a great place for a holiday with excellent beach, restaurants and bars, it's a shame the Navy hotel can only offer location as a positive.

Room Tip: Rooms in main building are better but all beds are hard and un-comfortable.

Have just returned from our second months holiday at The Navy Hotel, we have had a superb time, the staff were excellent, rooms basic but clean, and breakfast excellent.
We have stayed at this hotel for the last 9 years and would recommend this accomodation.
