“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2010

After spending many years going to the Sahin Palace this was my most disappointing trip.
Rude staff, running out of ice-cream and/or beer - certainly not what I had come to expect from Murat and his team
Even the decor looked lack lustre - it would seem the very high standards have dropped!
What a shame!

First time at Sahin Palace but it won't be the last. Got off to a great start with a really warm welcome at just before midnight ! Nothing was too much trouble for Murat and his staff. There is a real family feel to the place and it speaks volumes that most people we chatted to around the pool, had been several times before. food excellent, apartments spotlessly clean and all staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered. 10 out of 10.

Just got home from the most perfect stay in icmeler. Second time in icmeler but first time in Sahin Palace .I have already booked for next year . Tom , Dudu and all thier wonderful staff are utterly lovley and leave no stone unturned to make your stay the best it can be. The hotel is very modern and really nicely decorated with a relaxing poolside with plenty of sunbeds for all. The food in the restaurant is top class and very reasonable . As for the staff Huseyin John, Turan and Ferhat are simply the best anywhere and I cant tell you how hard it was to leave . The countdown for next year has begun . All I can say to my turkish friends is tesekurler and seni seviyorum

We moved here from a dismal apartment in the area I only wish we had found the place sooner. The service was friendly but not pushy. A family run business with a wonderful welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless, well decorated and maintained with a light airy feel. The linen was fresh and clean with plenty of fresh towels. The pool area was also kept clean and plenty of sunbeds with comfy cushions!
The food in the resteraunt was on a par with all the resteraunts we tried last year and this in Marmaris and Icmeler and much better value. The staff and the other guests were friendly and there was a very relaxed atmosphere. About 15 mins walk from the beach which perhaps would not suit someone with small children but a pleasant walk with a few bars and shops on the way. Two supermarkets within 500 yards and the Dolmus bus which takes you to the resort or to Marmaris was within a couple of minutes. All the excursions e.g Boat trips, Mud Baths, Turkish Baths can be booked through the Owner at very competative rates and you are picked up in the apartment. Will definitely be going back.

We moved here from Pinewood (see my other review) and instantlly felt right at home. It's a family run complex - Tom and Dudu and of course little Keram and it's obvious how proud they are of their beautiful Apartments and grounds.

The rooms are FABULOUS. Massive room with 2 balconies and chairs on each to sit out on. Lovely kitchen with everything you could possibly need and absolutely spotless. I have NEVER stayed anywhere abroad as clean as here. You could literally eat off the floor it is so well kept. The bathroom is gorgeous - all tiled in great decoration and a stand alone enclosed shower cabinet. 2 huge bath towels and 2 hand towels plus a foot towel. Excellent. The bedroom was gorgeous - thick golden bedspread on the huge double bed and 2 plump pillows. The mattress was lovely and just right. A little vaniy table and seat with lots of points for your GHDs or Hairdryer.

As soon as you go to the room you're impressed due to the thick marble floors and gorgeous Verasce like door.

The pool are was gorgeous - tiles which never seemed to get hot and always sun loungers available with mattresses no matter when you go down to the pool. There was also lilos etc to use free of charge.

The waiters (John, Chris and Ferhat) were brilliant and would do anything to help you. Left you to get on with it, not hassling you and knowing when to ask you if you would like anything else to drink. Perfect.

The food at the Restaurant was brilliant. We ate there nearly every night because you just couldn't get better anywhere else - price or quality wise. Again the service was fantastic - the Sahin should be very proud to have such a good team with the 3 guys. Absolutely brilliant every night. We had our 1 year anniversary there and John decorated our table in fresh flowers and brough our meal out on a trolley with a sparkling shooting star. After everything we had been through that day, it really was perfect and so nice to be thought of like that.

There was a relaxing area to watch the 3 big televisions which was great for the football which was on. There was also a free pool table which was in excellent condition and free darts. We never got bored. John and Tom would play pool with my Husband and that was always a good laugh.

A very special mention to the Maid at the complex. I have never ever seen a Maid work as hard as she did. She came into your room every day for at least an hour and scrubbed EVERYTHING. She was on her hands and knees washing the floor, doing your dishes, cleaning the fridge, honestly I've never seen anything like it. The rooms were absolutely immaculate. Bedding and towels were changed every 3 days - and we never had any complaints. When people left, the Maid was in their rooms cleaning for about 3 hours - even when there was nothing much we could see to clean! She really was brilliant.

The pool and gardens were watered every night for about 2 hours and there was a Security Guard who stood outside everynight patrolling the property.

Honestly, don't hesitate in contacting Tom - they don't use tour operators (no wonder) and you will get a fantastic deal and holiday, They can also arrange transfers.

Thank you so much to Tom and Dudu and all the staff for giving us the holiday we should have got from the beginning elsewhere. You will NOT be disapoointed.

Could not find anywhere as clean and welcoming than Sahin Palace Icmeler. Food is great, staff are polite and well trained, management treat you as part of the family and the sun is always shining. I have had 15 wonderful holidays there and hope for another 15.
