“Lovely!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

This hotel may not be 5 star but the service is brilliant! Friendly staff who even arranged an evening just for guests... Bedding changed every other day also the towels. Great location literally seconds from everything! I would stay here again!

stayed in melita for 2 weeks it was absolutely terrible ...
They give me attic room .. room was really basic , I had a other room after 5 days , wasted time for 5 days ... Then I went fethiye for short trip ... on the way back I seen my suitcase around pool .. when I asked .. they said I have to go attic room again ... that's no problem but without asking me they moved my suitcase from my room ... I stayed private so i haven't rep to call and i paid all before .. that was my mistake ..i shouldn't go there privately and pay all in front .... anyone going to stay in Turkey anywhere do not go privately .. go with travel agency ... I was absolutely
disappointed. because i am from Turkey and i can speak Turkish ... if this happened to me, guess for others ...

Room Tip: no good rooms at all .. old furniture and uncomfortable beds ....

stayed here in the middle of Aug this year 2013. After our long flight from Glasgow and our transfer we finally arrived at the Melita in mid afternoon only to be told we would have to wait for a least an hour for our room.Room is basic but a fair size for what we needed.no problems until the 4th day when there was a problem with the electrics and we went 2 and a half days with no hot water.
big bit of advise if you are given the attic room tell them you want another room and you will be moved...better still request that you do not get it when you book.
Staff are friendly enough and do not pester you for drinks. Food was good however we did not eat there but my in laws did and had no complaints.Overall a good apartment considering what you pay for it,great location under 5mins to beech front and 10 mins from the vast eateries.

Room Tip: when booking request that you do not have a attic room.

This was our second stay at the melita it was not as good as the first, did not ciean the room for the two week we where there, had to ask to get the bed change and clean towels .we where put in the worst rooms they have hoping we wouldnt complain but we knew they would try that as they had done so the year before .the bar man who calls himself Sky was very rude asking very personal questions and pushy trying to get us to go to the turkish night

Room Tip: Refuse to go into an attic room

Stayed here at the beginning of June. It was ok but very basic. The location of the apartment was excellent - just a 5 min stroll to the beach or icmeler centre and There was some lovely restaurants nearby. The apartments themselves are ok but are under-equipped for a self catering holiday if you wanted to cook each night. We had an attic room which was adequately spacious but had an incredibly tiny balcony and a toilet in the shower!!! the rooms on the lower floors were much bigger and had two big balconies. On the plus side the views Were lovley but the downside was that the wifi didn't quite reach us and there were no lifts!! The kitchen area lacked power points, space and utensils. There were only 2 glasses and mugs for 3 of us and no cereal bowls, frying pan .... Little annoyances like that. The staff were nice and very helpful and the food at the restaurant as pleasant enough but the evening meals were a little pricy compared to others nearby. The rooms were cleaned most days but the towels were a little grubby!! it was very quiet when we were there so plenty of sunbeds and the pool was nice enough. No entertainment at night but icelemer has plenty going on. Would I say here again? Yes probably ..... as it was cheap and served as a good base for a holiday in icemeler- if all you are after is somewhere to sleep and shower.

Stayed at Melita for a week early June.
Location is perfect for the beach.
Staff friendly without being pushy.
Apart clean and bedlinen and towels changed often.

However, I found it very strange that a frying pan was not in the kitchentools (never seen that before in Turkey!) How can you cook breakfast etc. without it?

Another point on the negative side is the furniture.
There were only hard steel diningchairs to sit on at the balcony.... Very uncomfortably!
After 2 days my back was hurting.

An English family with a kid was making hell for the people in the aparts facing the kid pool the whole week :-(
From early morning till late night this family and kid totally dominated the area with loud screams and shouts completely unaware of the rest of the guests in the hotel.

Unfortunately this is not the first time I have experienced how this nation let their kids dominate
the whole area without any respect of other people! Very bad attitudes!!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the kids pool. Very noisy!

Just got back from my third stay in these apartments in the last 12 months and am going again in a couple of months time ... WHY .. because these apartments are in an excellent location. Basic but clean and added bonus of 2 balcony, one off the main living area and the other off the good sized bedroom.. The beds sheets and towels are changed really often. The staff are very friendly but without any hassle to eat and drink there, thus leaving it comfortable to go out without feeling you have to eat/drink there all the time.
