“Quality of the hotel is adequate with the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Ok, maybe it is not the best hotel in Icmeler but to be honest it was not my first in Marmaris and simply the lower prices here compares the other hotels can justify the lower quality. If you expect something better you should be ready to pay approx 30% higher price somewhere else. My budget was lower this time so I booked Munamar and I am not dissapointed in this way.

The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff fiendly. Food too cold and repetitious but not bad if you like vegeterian kitchen. Very close to the beach. Easy, fast and cheap minibuses to the city center are available every 5 minutes. Plenty of nice cafes and restaurants all around. I loved the Greek Bar in Munamar Resort too.

What I don't like was 90% Russians in the hotel. Usually they were rude, laud and not well mannered. But maybe it is the matter of culture differences;)

All in all me and my boyfriend had a great stay there and I can reccomend this place for the ones with the lower budget but expecting clean and decent accomodation in Marmaris. All the terrible reviews are not very fair really...

Rooms average but kept clean apart from the maid letting a cat into our room which had obviously became stressed and dirtied (diahoria) all over the bedroom and our bags etc. The maid was horrified and did her best to clear up the mess but the hotel receptionist didn't even apologise, the worst customer service I have ever received!
Food, terrible, barely no meat or fish, lots of salad including carrots on toast!! We were blessed with pancakes on the 1st morning then never to be seen again. Needless to say we ate out a lot and the food in the resort was fantastic.
Drinks are served in tiny plastic cups, lager is ok, basic spirits ok, ask for a straw as they keep then hid under the bar.
Pool area was really dirty, we never seen the pool cleaned once in 2 weeks, my husband complained about the remnants of food, gasses and cigarette buts and they send a guy down to pick things up and he still missed half of it.
This hotel is a 90% Russian hotel from June to Sept and all food and entertainment is aimed at that culture, they are very very rude and push in queues, never say please or thank you so I am very proud to be British and have well mannered children.
If you haven't already booked, choose another hotel, if you have, take extra cash to eat out etc.

we have just returned from our first holiday to turkey, beautiful place, shame about the hotel !
Food would suit any HMP that would put any stop to any prisoner returning. Staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful especially the bar staff, waitresses and holiday reps.
Do not be taken in by the plush pictures in the brochure they are of beach hotel, which you probably will expect to stay. Not true.
We ate out all the time at the champagne bar very friendly and greeted like family at each visit.

we stayed at this hotel last year in a room above the restaraunt which was nice, and i had emailed them requesting a room in the same block, upon our arrival we were greeted very nicely by reception staff which i will say were very good through out the holiday,we were taken to our room which was 209,trust me if you get that change!its at the top of a flight of 51 steps spiral stair case with no hand rails to help you which made you feel very un safe walking up and down, and no lift!the room was big but very dark and dingy, the bathroom also very dark and no good lighting, balcony did give a nice view and was private as we was so high up.the plus side we had a lovley maid who came in each day and kept our room spotless and we did have a good laugh with.the pool areas were much the same as last year busy and people getting away with putting towels on beds then going off for ages!we found a little haven in the complex over the bridge in the smaller pool alot quieter and meet some nice people, but the step down from the bridge was broken and you had to be carefull to miss it and some areas around the pool had broken decking which was dangerous, could have easily had a fall if u didnt look out,but a lot more relaxing than the other pool areas and the one time that towels were put out we waited 2hours and when the people didnt come back we moved them, the towel owners didnt even come back till teatime to get them so we didnt feel no guilt!the food this year was very below standard compared to last year,my friend had a meal then discovered the chicken was un cooked and i mean raw on one side!all the meat dishes looked a bit pink, you had people going in hogging up desserts and i mean pileing plates up before they even done any thing else!and you did get some people bargeing in front of the queue but after that happened a coulpe of times i did tell them were to get off and stood my ground the rest of the time, the best bit was the salad and fruit which was always nice, soups were tasteless and the fried eggs for breakie were sloppy and at times has shell in,the omelettes were even mixed propelry, last year the other chef cooked them to perfection and were fab, snack time consisted of lunchtimes left over being dished up with a few other bits,on the whole the food was awfull and stuck to toast and salad or rice, even the so called butter was a very cheap marg and left a film in your mouth when you ate it so we invested in a tub of butter and took that down to breakfast each am, we ate out in the end due to poor food at hotel and found a lovley place near the hotel called richards which cooked fab food and was good value for money, the bar staff were great and were polite at all times,as were the waiters/waitresses,and they worked very hard to clear plates and glasses in food and bar areas,we did report faults to the things that were broken but we found but nothing was done the whole week we were there to fix them, we will not be going back to this hotel again as we feel it isnt worth the money and feel the owner has let standards slide which reguards to maintence and food both details that can make or break a hoilday!its a shame as last year it was a totally different hoilday and we were looking foward to returning this year.but never ever again!but i would like to say thank you to the reception, bar staff, waiters, waiteresses, and our lovley maid who were fab and worked hard.

I must admit that we went to Munamar with low expectations.

We arrived and was shown to a large family room near one of the smaller pools. It was clean, tidy and spacious with all two large shower rooms. Ideal for the 5 of us.

The resort itself was good and with three pools to choose from, the children did not bored.

Meal time was OK. Once you got past other cultures pushing in. The food itself was good and we were pleasantly surprised. There was plenty of food and plenty of snacks throughout the day. We did not go hungary!

Drinks - all in order and part of the all inclusive package.

The staff were all friendly and polite!

We had a great week here and would recommend.

Just returned after 2 weeks stay at the Munamar couples hotel. The room was of a good size with a walk in shower, air con, flat screen tv and fridge which wasn't very cold!!. Food we found was not to our taste and ate out nearly every day. Went to the Turkish al-la-carte where we were charged 60 lire for a bottle of wine ( about £20) which is disgusting its supposed to be all inclusive!!! Entertainment is virtually non existent. The staff we found to be really friendly and hard working. We loved icmeler and will definitely be returning but not to this hotel.

Everything is definately NOT as Thompson advertise this Hotel COUPLES ONLY that even isn't TRUE!! FOOD is so poor quality that although we paid for 5* All INCLUSIVE we have eaten out every day. The pool is not much bigger than a children's paddling pool, The padded sunloungers that are advertised in the brochure and on line there are 8 of simply NOT enough for the amount of guests. Bar service is so slow you could not get drunk or even tipsy you queue up like you do in the airport. We choose this Hotel for our honeymoon as it was unbelievable in the brochure majority of which just doesn't exist, one positive thing is the Entertainment Coordinator Jamie and Musician Adrian James who simply are AMAZING if they were not at this hotel then it would simply be NOTHING and definately NOT worth a visit or the price they charge
