“Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

Arrived at the bahar and wasn't sure what to expect, we knew that half of the property had been renovated and half hadn't so we crossed our fingers. We didn't luck out and ended up in the attic of the un-renovated building......however..... it was immaculately clean, the air con worked a treat, the bathroom was spacious and the apartment itself was a good size. We had a balcony at the front and one at the back and clean bedding and towels on a regular basis. Even though the apartment was a little dated, for the price we paid it was great. The location of the hotel is in the old village but a short walk from the strip and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The team were brilliant, A big thank you to Hardey, Rob and Ozzy along with the rest of the team for a really enjoyable stay. I would definitely return. We aren't the type to stay in our hotel on holiday so it is difficult to comment on the food and entertainment, but we did eat there one breakfast and one evening and it was a good standard. If you need anything everyone is helpful and our cleaner, Norsell was fab. Would recommend to others and have no complaints.

I will never stay at these apartments again.....the staff were rude and kept hasseling everytime we went out and came back......asking why we never eat in there restaurant...well maybe when u order tea and toast and it takes 25 minutes to arrive because the waiter is too busy on his mobile. All i can say there is much better places to stay and if they put you in there sister hotel (the icmeler apart) well i would not even let a dog stay there. I have visited icmeler for the last 10 years and i have never come across people who are rude. DO NOT STAY THERE.

Me and my wife 11 August for 2 weeks

Remember what you have paid for it.Saying this should not put anyone off
Rob the manager will look after you

Staff are very friendly and will talk to you as long as you want and nothing is to much for them to do,but they are not in your face.
Rooms and hotel very clean, changing towels/beds every few days.Rooms are very basic and could do with some updating .We usually went to the beach every day and only spent a few hours at the pool and went to sleep in the rooms only (not on holiday to stay in room/hotel)
The air con is a must as it gets very hot in August (45 degrees )
Prices are ok compared to the rest of the resort
Food was nice (breakfast) could not eat to much because of the heat.
Coco beach down at the front off the beach was a great place to go on the beach Idris was the guy who would get you drink/food all day if you asked and the sunbeds are for free as long as you get the drink/food from the Coco beach bar.

Room Tip: Top attic rooms are very warm

Even though I'm only 13 I found Bahar aparts great. all the staff are really friendly: Rob the manger is really funny great with kids and can attend to any problems you have with anything, ozzy the pool waiter and waiter is heart of the disco and has young and old dancing with him, Hardy the head waiter was great with me and other people and loved to swim and mess around in the pool with ozzy . J-J the barman was great and loved to wind me up, his kids efe and ega loved being in the pool and playin around on the lilo. eren and aslan the all round guys loved to laugh and play around in big groups 'big boss man' the owner of the hotel was there every night watching and talking with staff and clients alike and joe his son is usually at college but sometimes worked behind the bar. the rooms were a good size and had all the kitchen essentials (I think) the bedrooms have to single beds and the living area had 1-2 couches that extended into beds. the bathroom was of a normal size with a small shower, tiolet and sink and a few shelves. the location was great for walkers and people who don't like to walk far as there are plenty of bars and resteraunts near-by. it was a 10-15 minuets walk to the beach which was maybe a bit longer than I expected but it was great exercise. overall lovely staff, great location, rooms are spot-on and clean and the pool (and slides) is great

My family stayed at the Bahar for two weeks commencing 5th August. And I must agree with the last reviewer (tightyorky). Zayna, must have just started when we arrived and completely put us off staying around the pool and restaurant/bar area due to his constant hassle. We were so relieved to see that the management saw the negative effect he was having on the other holidaymakers and the negative vibe he generated. Once Zayna was gone we spent more time around the pool and restaurant/bar with a lovely chilled vibe for adults & fun vibe for the kids. We got to know the other staff, their children Efe & Ege (fantastic full of beans kids!) and Rob the manager, who really do know how to make your holiday. Just like long lost family friends!

The accommodation is basic but the rooms are spotlessly clean. The cleaning & maintenance staff are always working away keeping on top of any issues. The air con is £30 per week and safe is £10 per week. The Turkish night is fantastic!! the traditional turkish open buffet even better!! for only £15 with belly dancer/breakdancers etc and usual audience participation.

The Bahar is only about 5 mins walk away from the 'canal' and the bulk of Icmeler attractions.10 mins walk from the beach. Aqua hotel beach is great & a guy called 'Sheriffe' will wait on you all day for 3TL per sun lounger!

Overall genuinely nice staff making the most of the accommodation and keen to make your holiday enjoyable. We were all so sad to leave, but can't wait to return and pity Zayna's next employer. Highly recommended if your on a buget and dont mind basic.

Room Tip: Room 204 has x 2 balconies both quiet and nice views (poolside & street side). Two single beds w...

a bloke called zaynal was set on in our second week. It was clear from the start that he was a creep. He actually said that all the women liked him. believe me this was not the case.Anyway Rob who is the manager sacked him two days after our return. Please be sure that the main team in the Barhar are agreat set of lads. The owner who also has something to do with the babadan apartments does not suffer fools, he as very high standards. My wife who generally does not like to return to the same palce twice said she would go to the bahar again no problem.

Room Tip: you really need to be on the far side of the pool away vfrom the bar area
