“Beautiful hotel but what a shame poor guest services and food!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2011

We were recommended this Resort by the travel agency agent as she has been to this resort before and she assured us it was really great because we were keen on going to Delphin Resort at first! So we trusted her advice and took the trip to this Resort for the first time. We went under Gulet Touristik for this trip. it was a package with flight and All Inclusive for one week. We fly from Vienna, Austria with Sun Express and it was a pleasant trip and it was our first flight with this airline. The moment we arrived at Antalya airport we went straight to the Gulet Tour operator desk and we gave them our names and we were told to find ourselves the tour bus that will take us to the Resort. it took about 1 hour to reach the Resort. Once we arrived we straight went to check in. we have booked our room sea view. We were given a room which is not even sea view and the carpet in the room were dirty! when my husband complaint they said it was sea view and there are not many room available at that moment and after my husband raise his voice and insisted that we will not stay in that room after paying more for sea view room then the supervisor on duty that day advice them to change our room according to our reservation and the funny thing they do have sea view room! Finally we have the right room that we paid for!

The room is cleaned and have everything that we needed. the fridge is stocked with water and soft drinks. We were given card for the beach towel and we have to pay a deposit for it and it will be return to us once we check out from the hotel.

The hotel is big and beautiful and clean. I like their huge lobby lounge where you could sit and relax while drinking hot or cold drink. There are also travel tour operators desks which offers excursion trips at the 1st floor of the lobby lounge. Gulet Tour operators are very well organized and helpful. They even gave us all under Gulet tours a free trip to Antalya visiting gold factory where if you are interested to buy any gold that day and then to Antalya for a day trip free on your own and later that night we were treated to a free dinner with culture show at the Sultan Saray Restaurant.

The Hotel

beautiful, clean and spacious. so many lounge to sit down. it has big pool and theater for the night show. The Resort has its own private beach. The night show were very entertaining.

The Room

It was spacious and clean with two single beds and mini fridge stocked with free water and soft drinks. it also has a small tv with limited channels.

The bathroom is clean with shower head and there is only one free shampoo and soap. I suggest bringing your own shampoo and conditioner.

The Beach

the beach is very nice its private and short walk from pool of the Resort. the beach is clean and the water is clean and very nice for swimming. We dont have to chase or wake up early in the morning just to get a beach chair. it was plenty and the guy who is in charge of the beach is very helpful. there is always security guards to make sure no strangers enter the hotel grounds.

The Food

the food is very disappointing for us from breakfast to lunch and dinner. we were served the same food and not much of variety! we were expecting fish, meat but everyday we were served chicken and only few times fish or they put the same food in the other tray! the food is not hot and sometimes its cold or warm! we were lucky to have a good waiter who waits on us and we did give him tips during our stays there. Desserts is to die for. we love the desserts served at every meal! Breakfast have varieties of bread, spreads and cold cuts.

We didnt get the chance to try the special restaurant since it is always fully booked though we did make booking thru the hotel staff in charge of it the first day we arrived at the Resort! we stayed one week and not a single time did he even inform us or let us know when we can have our dinner at the restaurant though we were always sitting at the lounge near his desk! It was really poor service!

From the hotel you could go to the sister hotel next door and use their facilities. There are also bazaar outside the hotel if you want to go out from the hotel where you could buy drinks or other stuff. to go to Antalya, you could take a mini bus out side the hotel to go to Antalya or visit the town of Alanya which cost 1.50 Euro only. We didnt go to the Dolphin show because we are against keeping dolphins in cage when they should be free swimming the ocean!

Overall we enjoyed our trip. The Resort is beautiful but they have to improve a lot on their guest services and the quality of food.

We were three families travelling together and had made the reservation 8 months ahead. We asked to get rooms near eachother but when we checked in they had separated us as much as they could and they were unwilling to do anything about it. The guy in the reception just shrugged his sholuders when we pointed this out during check-in.

The room was nice, clean and spacious. The pool area and the water-slides were great and the kids really loved it. Beeing a 5* all-inclusive I think it was a bit odd that the kids only could have icecream twice during the day. It was handed out for 30 minutes and if you missed the time by a couple of minutes you had to pay...

There was not alot to choose from during lunch and most of the food was cold (even the food that was supposed to be warm). In a 5* hotel you should be able to get something other than cold pizza or hot sandwiches (that you had to make yourself), or?!?!

The temperature of the food got a bit better when a russian lady complained to the chef.

During dinner it was a bit more to choose from but it tasted sadly almost nothing. They had a kids buffet that consisted of spaghetti and tomato-sauce.

Regarding service I would give minus if I could: You have to go get your drinks for dinner yourself in the bar. The poolbar was closed and they never walked around offering to get you something.

One day we didn't get our room cleaned until after we had gone to dinner at night.

When we were leaving they had lost our ticket (that they kept during the week) but fortunately they had made a copy that they found...

I read a review from another "TripAdvisor" stating that they had been here last year and were so pleased that they returned this year and that the hotel had a new management that had reduced the personell to half of what it was before. Reading other, older reviews, from this hotel, I believe that the other TripAdvisors conclusion is true.

I was really dissapointed, despite the fact that the beach was super and the pool area nice with quite a few waterslides, and I would not recommend anyone to go here and I would not return.

Very hard beds, food do not tast anything (were is the spice). The snack bar is the same everyday and main buffet changes 10% everyday. Terrible food, Talked to alot of other guest which were very disapointed with the hotell. Food is main reason to stay away.

POSITIV: Very big outside area, your children will have theire best time inn the pool area which have everything. Beach is also very great, but watch out for some big waves.
