“Best view in Javea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2011

Stayed at La Marina in early September. The staff were very welcoming and the accomodation was bright, clean, airy and very spacious, (full size bath). We were there during the festival and firework display, and the view from the balcony was second to none! Can't think of a reason not to return next year. Fabulous pizzas from the wood fired oven were a bonus.

After looking at other hotels we were delighted to find a room with such a view at a great price. Not luxury,so no t.v or air con but a ceiling fan (nights hot but sea breeze helped). There is a fridge and free wi-fi. Clean and bright with en suite bath and shower but best thing is the balcony where you can sit and enjoy a view of the bay. It's right on the seafront esplanade so central to plenty of bars and restaurants but wasn't particularly noisy. Owner Mike was pleasant and helpful. Loved it !
P.S Beach pebbly, sea crystal clear. Sandy beach is 1mile walk along the coast road stopping at bars along the way or 1.3 Euro bus ride.

Room Tip: Second floor sea view fantastic.

We found this place on Trip Advisor and after reading the reviews contacted Mike at the hotel to make a booking. He was very helpful and we booked a sea view room. On arrival Mike was having a siesta but got up to welcome us and show us to the room. Yes it is basic so dont expect A/C, Egyptian Cotton sheets, Coffee machines etc, but there was a fridge and a fantastic view.
The Pizzas in the restaurant are fabulous with our 5 yr old declaring he wants pizza to be like that everywhere he goes!
Definitely worth a try for a few days if looking to visit Javea or the surrounding area.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view. They only have 2 beds but we shared with our 5 yr old and there was plenty room

Me and my long term partner opted to stay at La Marina on the advice of friends who had stayed there before and raved about the views from the hotel and the vibrant atmosphere. We certainly were not disappointed. We were initially greeted by BIG MIKE who showed us to our room. The room was basic but that didn't matter us us when we looked out over the balcony at the fabulous sea view.

The staff were helpful and courteous at all times and made our stay even more enjoyable.

The restaurant serves delicious Italian dishes and the owner clearly takes great pride in his food.

We would both like to give the entire team from La Marina a big thank you for making our vacation so special x x

This place is a real find. The rooms are fairly basic but very clean with the most fantastic views of the sea. Staff are very helpful and polite. In particular the English owner Mick is a great bloke who goes out of his way to help customers get the most out of their holiday. His knowledge of the area was extensive and certainly more useful than the reception area of a large hotel.
Highly recommended!

Having read the Lonely planet who identified it as a place to stay as well as other reviews on trip adivsor. My wife and I were really disappointed with this 'dump'. The owner told me he was too busy to show me the room before I made a decision on staying or not! (That should have been my telltale sign, so fool me for not checking before accepting) My only positive thing to mention is the view is pretty good. But I would not recommend this place at all! The owner was aloof to put it mildly and the rooms are basic and look grotty and with only a fan for 75 Euros a night it was a complete joke!
